Suspension settings. Now I'm confused.
#1
Right, I've decided to get my car 4-wheel laser aligned. I've had it offered by a local alignment centre for £40. They offerd to set the car up as per handbook, or as I wanted it. I went onto the SIDC FAQ, and got the settings. Apparently, the camber on the rear wheels is not adjustable?
I then phoned TSL, intent on finding out why their price is £95. On mentioning Scoobynet, SIDC FAQ and the non-adjustment of the rears, I was laughed at. I was further laughed at when I mentioned the settings the FAQ gave me, and told that those were not the setings to use, and there were "No such things as the Prodrive Settings".
Now, I'm confused. Can anyone put me right? I don't want to pay £55 ,plus travel, extra, for somehting I can get done locally. BUT I would like the suspension set up as people on here seem to think it's worth it. But what ARE the settings? And if one place says one thing, and another something different, who's settings are best? And why? CAN there be two sets, giving similar results? Or is the whole thing a hype?
HELP!!!!!!!!!
