Popped into Powerstation after work today to enquire about the bump steer mod they do, after some discussion about the pro's and cons of all the different suspension changes that improve the impeza's road holding.
I ended coming out of the place with this little lot (didn't take much persuation (sp?) though )
Anti Lift / Castor Kit.
Adjustable rear sway bar.
22mm front sway bar.
heavy duty rear link kit.
heavy duty front link kit.
heavy duty roll bar mounts.
oh I nearly forgot.
Booked in for Bump steer mod /laser geometary set up
and a rolling road sesion
Your opinions on this kit if you have already got it ?
(I think the TEK 3 will have to wait now) sorry john
EDIT :to add,
Is anyone interested in me doing a thread on fitting all the above
with pics to show how the job went (bit like "wallis's" thread)
EDIT : again to say I'm now £515.82 more skint than I was before

Fuzz,
Did you see my thread "Tel's Big Day Out at Powerstation"..?
Perhaps the people who were going to respond to such a thread responded to that one?
You've got some great kit, if it's assurance you need, and you'll be able to feel it on the road without a doubt.
What i didn't get were the heavy duty roll bar mounts, i thought that was one luxury too far, but i guess it all helps...

I've only fitted the rear ARB link kit as my originals were gubbed. Would be up for some info on how you get on with the front end adjustments especially the anti lift kit if it makes a huge difference.
Cheers

Tel,
The OE ones look very flimsy indeed!! If the mounts flex then the job of the bar and links is going to be compromised. It's the same reason you chnge the flexi plastic drop links for solid ones.

With the exception of the HD mounts, I have the full Whiteline kit on my '02 wagon. It made a night and day difference in handling, especially on the track. I started with just the rear bar, but had a lot of body roll and wheel deflection in tight turns. Adding the links, front bar, and ALK made a very large difference. Admittedly, unless you drive like a numbnut on the street, I do not think the front bar, and maybe the ALK,would be worth it.
Whereas the rear bar had zero drawbacks. The ALK, front bar, and endlinks are noisy, unless recently greased, and add a modicrum of NVH. My wife had no complaints about my car's ride with the rear bar and STI struts/springs, but will not ride in the car in its present full WL state of tune.
Ah well, the car handles phenomenally on the track, so I'm happy. BTW, WL makes a "comfort" bushing for the ALK for us soft Yanks. Something to consider.

The rear sway bar as you know is adjustable.
Which of the three holes is the best setting,
question to those that have adjusted it ?
I wont be able to comment a great deal on the effects it has had on the handling / road holding after I have fitted all the stuff.
Reason being is I have only driven the car for 3 days in the whole time I have owned it which is about a month now.
Big brakes are next Which ones ? oh wrong forum

Matt,
I know, i know. But i HAD to draw the line somewhere!!
In fact, i reckon my newly added strut brace has made more difference than the uprated rear anti-roll bar, but maybe that's because it's mounts are still "bits of tin" (according to Nick the boyo at PS...)!
