I am getting new springs, dampers and anti roll bars fitted to my UK MY00. I am thinking about getting the bushes upgraded at the same time. However powerflex do a load of different ones for impreza and I can't afford a full set (>400 quid)
The question is what bushes are the best to upgrade?
Bearing in mind the new suspension items will be getting fitted anyway. Which ones will need replacing?
Any advice at all on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Dale

ok so if you take a look at this link (http://www.powerflex.co.uk/products/.../impreza.shtml)
, do you think i would be best to get the following items with Part Ref:
1,2 & 3 for front. @ £105.
9 for Rear. @ £25.
Do i need item 12(£38) for front as well? and item 10(£40) for rear or can i do without these?
If there is anything above that is not really necessary please let me know.
many thanks for your advice as I havent a clue about this stuff, I just want better handling at least price!

Sorry Eagle, I was out for dinner and it took quite a while because it was one of those luxury type restaurants where you get lots of small portions of food in 20 minute intervals!
Yes you should get the end links for the anti roll bars, especially in the back, to neutralise the handling.

love that french dining experience! Over here they throw it at you and then throw you out
so you reckon i should buy 10 and 12 too then? This is going to be expensive after all.

Eagle,
Are you getting some mods other than the roll bars? These usually come with uprated bushes (Whiteline/MRT?) and did you go for the drop links on the rear too (very worthwhile mod!!!!).
Assuming all this, have you had the Bump Steer Mod too? I would recommend the following (in this order):
Bump Steer Mod inc Geometry
Anti-Lift kit (which includes lower rear suspension arm uprated bushes anyway)
Rear ARB (which includes uprated ARB mounting bushes)
Uprated rear drop links (which inclues drop link bushes)
I would then see what you think and go from there.....
Matt
P.S. I would get this lot done @ Powerstation (as they are the only people who do the Bump Steer Mod (and are top chaps ))

Matt, completely agree with your choice of stuff. However, I have bought a full P1 suspension set 2nd hand (springs, dampers and both ARBs). I will be getting these fitted at my local dealer. Will look at anti lift kit and bumpsteer later.
I am not too sure about getting drop links done as I have heard it makes the car too stiff.

If you're bothing to change all the suspension over then you should take this opportunity to get the BSM and proper Geom done (as the Geom will need doing then anyway).
Just all IMHO
