Cool

I tried to buy some new front droplinks for my 93 WRX but couldn't find any. So I made these.

What do you think?

PS A big thanks to Dave for taking the piccy and to Steve for telling me how to post it!

What about rear ones ?
I thought Jap imports had solid front links anyway ?
I had looked at doing this myself after my demon tweaks catalogue arrived.

Yep they are rosejointed and Yep WRX's do have solid fronts as standard. I changed the rears to solid from Townend Garage. When I enquired if they do them for the fronts (mine were noisy and there was movement in the ball joints)they said they only did them for UK spec cars (which have smaller plastic ones fitted).
So not being one to put up with rattles and poor handling, I made these.

ive seen my rear ones on the wrx but never really noticed the fronts

Very good job MarkF.

How about corrosion and dirt protection? The original ball joints on WRX are sealed, isn't there the risk that salt/mud/crap from the road can damage them?

How many more times is this thread going to be ressurected? When I made these in my previous life, I could have fitted dust shields to the rosejoints. But i'm a bit of a masochist who likes to keep taking things apart, cleaning them and putting them back together, so I didn't bother!
