Hello everyone,

A local guy is selling Subaru Impreza STI GDE/GDF (05-07) 8/6kg BC Racing ER series for less price of new BR series for GC8. I was wondering if I only need to make new holes for the top caps in the rear, or they are also not gonna fit in the wheel hub of my GC8 WRX.
As my 3 out of 4 of my KWs passed away and I will need new suspension now. Here is the mentioned auction of the coilovers LINK ON FACEBOOK MARKET.

I think I was able to find the answer myself on this forum. I will need two new holes on the top caps and will drill a new hole in the coilovers to fit the knuckles, then will weld the other one, which I will not use. If they are not sold until I get my salary, next month I will update you what happened.

the yoke on the front strut is both too wide and wrongly spaced.......the rear top mount is also wrong

BC Racing stuff is modular. If you can get hold of a set of cheap BC struts meant for your car from a breaker, then the ER inserts will wind into the correct lower mounts and the top hats are interchangeable. This does depend on if hte ER you are looking at are early ones with cannisters on hoses. if it's the rigid pipes through the slot then they are no good and will ONLY work on a Widetrack Impreza 05-07 and nothing else.

I used to own a set of ER and these were like this. Good struts, but nothing like the ZR ones I now have. They are for sale but similar issues in that the top mounts are not interchangeable due to the hoses. Lowers will swap over easily though.
