Coilover Binding or spronging springys
Coilovers...
Love'em or hate'em. Got mine for my GF8 from MaxSpeeding Rods (no I'm not affiliated) and thought great, instructions say for pro installation but hey ho, just a few bolts and presto.
Getting the old ones off was a buggar! Anyways, watch out for the cam bolts on the front and Mark Them!
Got coilovers on and left the camber set a zero, lowered front end two inches (measured tire to arch) Left back as it was, as wagons sometimes get loaded heavy.
Crank Em up to max, (righty tighty, lefty loosy) drive and ease off for comfort one or two clicks at a time. That's when you first hear the coil binding that sounds like an old army bed.
Pro Installation.... you should've greased them before putting them on!
Everyone goes on about blooming bearings, special shims and everything else including greasing.
I lowered the adjusting rings on the springs (After.. Measuring FIRST!) and used that god awful copper grease, a big pot from Halfords. First creamed it into the shim seats top and bottom, then pushed the shims into place and creamed spring sides next. Re tighten springs, measuring to be sure, clean up excess and no more binding.
Works good and I like it better than the other greases as it doesn't collect dirt and grime so easily or melt out. We'll see in a year if it holds up but if not, I'll do them when I do my brakes every year.

Is a problem actually
While researching about my problem with the coils binding, I found several solutions and reasons about the problem.
The Bilsteins that came with my JDM never made a noise at all and I think (don't know) because the springs were locked in notches, didn't have that problem. Who knows but solved the binding issue with the copper grease as mentioned.

K I'll do the pics no worries but it's amazingly underwhelming as the front end is only dropped as the 3" exhaust needs lots of room.
