Prodrive geometry settings for Forester?
#1
Here's another post that won't get any replies....
The outside edge of the tyres on my forester S-turbo are wearing much faster than the rest of the tyre. Should I get the geometry checked and set to the user manual specs, or will more -ve camber help? Are there any magical Prodrive settings? The car is only 9months old, but 99% of my driving is on tight urban roads with aggressive surfaces. Is it just the way I drive? The fronts are slightly worse than the backs.
Cheers!

Toerag,
If you were on the mainland then I would suggest going to Powerstation to get the Bump Steer Mod and proper geometry setup. As this is probably not an option for you, I'm not sure what to suggest
Matt.
P.S. At least you got a reply ( )

Another reply for you.
I had the same problem on an STB with Pirelli P zeros on. Swapped to Toyo and problem went even though the tracking was spot on.
What tyres have you got on?
Hurling it through the roads of Jersey may be letting the body roll take over and putting it on the edges.
Perhaps stiffer roll bars (18mm front, 21mm back) or a lowering exercise?
Nick

Wow, replies!
Yeah, the geometry mod isn't an option. Even if it was, does it apply to the foreester as it's higher?
I have the standard geolandars on. Thicker antiroll bars are an option, I think my standard back one might even be slightly bent! Lowering I'm in 2 minds about, although most of my driving is on roads, there are times when I go on bad tracks and fields where even standard impreza ride height would be too low. If they made adjustable height shocks like the audi allroad, yes, until they do, no.
