So it appears my Tein coilovers need replacing and I don't have enough money for KW V3s but I also don't want ebay ****e either.
Has anyone tried the Tein Street Advance? They're about the budget I can afford right now. Car is a V5 STi used daily on the road so compliance is a priority but adjustability is a bonus.

The MeisterR ZetaCRD will be a good middle ground between the Tein and the KW.

Is there a link to the CRDs? Other than yours posts on other forums I can't seem to find.much information about them.
Also, what kind of price are they?

 

The ZetaCRD+ is the replacement for the previous Zeta-R coilovers.
The RRP of the ZetaCRD+ is £795, and we provide a 10% discount to scoobynet owners.
So the total work out at £715.

We are lacking info at the moment on our website as we are building a new one.
Specs wise it is similar to the Zeta-R.

The major difference are improvement to the damping, as well as a new UK patent pending collars and other upgraded parts.
It is a better coilovers in every way vs. the older Zeta-R, and the old Zeta-R isn't a bad suspension already.

I'm looking to replace my Tein Superstreets too, their very harsh ride is more suited to the track but on road they are spoiling my enjoyment of an otherwise great car.

BCs seem to get some poor reviews on here so within that price range Meisters are on my short list. A ScoobyNet discount sounds attractive: how do I get it?

 

Have you thought about Tein again the cheaper one they do is around 570£ to your door , I don't think they do a basic one for the classic , i have Tein on the jdm Sti bugeye , not only is it not a overly harsh ride but it also handles very well

 

I wouldn't consider Tein again; once bitten etc...
There's no denying the Superstreets handle well on smooth roads but there aren't too many of those around here so I feel every stone, and the car spends its time being bounced about.

 

I was hoping they Make the basic set for yours as they are good on the road and cheap at 505£ for what they are

One thing I will bring up is that make sure when you are comparing coilovers, it is apple to apple.

The Tein Basis is a single perch, non adjustable twin-tube damper coilovers.
The Tein Advance is a single perch, adjustable twin-tube damper coilovers.
They are cheaper, but you are getting a lot "less" for your money also if you are comparing it to a set of MeisterR ZetaCRD.

The cheapest dual perch adjustable Mono-tube damper coilovers that Tein offer is the Mono Flex.
So I would consider that the closest coilovers that Tein offer to the MeisterR ZetaCRD in terms of specification and performance.

Tien are crap, end of. Not enough rebound to boot, only tiens I'd even consider is the mono flex and they would have to be cheap as the rebuild costs of tiens are quite expensive.

For the cost of Tein at 505 £ they do a good job , I'm happy with them on the Impreza and the car handles well , they are not too firm for uk roads which some coilovers can be

 

As meister r pointed out they really aren't any good.

I had tein monoflex and they were terrible for UK roads.

It's not until you have something decent you realise that what you had before were ****e.

 

Compared to the Bc I think they were type r , the Tein basic gives a better ride , I think suspension choice like tyre choice and oil choice can be a bit marmite you either like it or not
