Default Squeaky front suspension

When going over speed bumps or on bumpy roads there is a squeaky type of noise coming from the front suspension on my 2006 STI. Any possible ideas for what to start checking? Cars only done 40k miles

Grab a tin of silicone lube and spray one bush a time and go over the bumps . When it stops or goes quiet , means you may have found the problem. may take a few tries tho

my suspension mouse was fixed by ARB bushes so start there. I could see a gap around my arb's and bush just when turning the wheel - with the new bushes no gaps present and no suspension mouse either.

Great thanks for the suggestions guys and will have a look at the bushes ASAP, I'm hoping it's something simple.

Defo start with ARB bushes, especially if uprated ones.

It's a Subaru though, try to avoid the path that you're on - it'll end in a for sale ad and an Audi.

No not yet it won't, I've only just brought it 2 weeks ago and it just needs a bit of TLC to get it where I want it

Yes I know what you mean, done exactly that on my previous Impreza and valed I would not do it agin

Anyway I managed to check the ARBs today and looks like they've seen better days so I'm going to order front and rears next week and see if they are the cause of the squeak (fingers crossed).

Quick question. Are the front ARBs easy to change on a 2006 STI ? I only ask because it looks like the sub frame is blocking access a bit.

old thread but yes sub frame off It can be a pain if you don't get the car high enough in the air, also the bolts are really tight and rusty, on one of the front bolts the nut on the other side is welded on, I snapped this doing mine and it was a double **** around getting it off.
