Default Whiteline kca335 top mount fitting

Hoping someone can help me out with this

Today I've fitted new KYB Excel-G shockers along with the Eibach Pro spring set.
The rears I've fitted with standard top mounts but I've gone for the Whiteline KCA 335 top mounts on the front which are meant make it possible to gain a bit of extra negative camber correct?

Well I've fitted these today and they won't fit properly unless you turn them round and effectively add more positive camber
Basically the spring is rubbing on the body in the other positions..

Also I have a bit of a knock/click noise when I go from lock to lock

Any suggestions please?

Steve

What car are you fitting these to?
Seems strange there's an issue as they are designed to be useable with the OE shocks.
Did you install the OE cone washer between the shock strut and the KCA 335 top mount?

Very odd...!
Are you 100% sure the springs & shocks are correct for your year of car?

Might help if you post a couple of pictures up of how they're installed.

The shocks are identical to the ones I took off, as are the springs bar being a slightly different height.
Can't really get any pics tonight

Is the cone washer cone side up?

Which orientation works, doesn't work? Where is the spring catching? Have you got the 4th revised version, with the sealed bearings and the 10.9 studs?

Yes cone side up.
Mine only works in the min neg caster position.
If I'm the other positions it rubs against the body.

Top spring perch not orientated correctly? Middle of the 3 holes to the outside.

Kca335 has gone through 4 revisions - the latest version uses koyo 6302z sealed bearings and have 10.9 stamped on the head of the studs. Whiteline are well aware of the problems with the previous versions - which have open bearings and/or weak studs.

Did this ever get solved?

I'm having the same issue with an MY98 WRX, Sachs standard shocks and eibach springs.

At the moment my car has worse camber than stock...
