Leda settings for best wet weather grip.

Are you sure Caronte? I've always found oversteer to be preferable in low-grip situations. Granted, oversteer requires delicate use of opposite lock/throttle balance to control and the Impreza does turn-in well on throttle lift. What have you found running softer rears, and by how much?

Well, of course it depends from tastes. What i can say is that understeer is much more controllable. The idea is to turn in little bit slower that you would do it on normal conditions and exploit the great 4wd traction. In this way the car should be "nearly" neutral ( if the front starts to go wide slightly the center diff should apply power to the back wheels, if it's too much and the car still widens the line you simply diminish the trottle input till the car closes into the bend again).
Oversteer in the wet is spectacular but it doesn't make you go faster. Even F1 drivers prefer to increase understeer on wet laps.
I am now running 12F 8R but i had geometry modified from leda settings. I think, but it's just a subjective impression when driving, that these settings would have the effect of a 12F 10R, more or less. I usually keep these for both wet/dry. I reckon these are a little bit "bounchy". When i have to do long journeys i go for something more confortable. I still haven't tried track settings. Looking foreward for a nice truck day here in England this summer.

I'm getting confused now.I used to have a Type R Sti that had more rear wheel drive bias than the regular Sti.The back used to slide a little around corners but very predictably and controlably, not in a snappy way. This is the sort of set up I want to emulate.

It's not easy to emulate it because something is suspension setup and something else is power bias. However i suggest you try an equal F & R rebound position. This should give you a car prone to "close" the bend under power. The harder the back the more oversteer you produce. But I think you shouldn't exxagerate because at a certain point the grip could decrease, hence resulting in a slower car.
