Default Steering rack bushes - OEM or POLY?

Hi there, I want to replace these on my Blob 2004 WRX. Trying to get rid of the sloppiness. Just done track rods. Wishbone bushes. Arb etc and geometry....

Are the Poly bushes fine? Or will there be a lot of vibrations felt? Should I stick with OEM?

Any experience would be great!

Cheers, Martyn

I have super pro polly bushes and would recommend them, definitely improved the feel, no adverse effects at all.

poly bushes in mine too, from what I've read the stock bushes even when new have a lot of play in them. The extra play means that when you go to turn the wheel the whole rack squidges a little in the bush before the turning actually beings. haven't noticed any negatives in mine since sticking the poly bushes in.

Seriously considering these on my blob wagon, looking at the youtube vid below they look like a bit of a ball ache to fit and would probably need tracking/geo done afterwards:

Ditch, you have a blob wagon IIRC? Which kit did you fit from superpro:

SPF2648BK without tool

SPF2648K with bush removal tool

SPF1972K with 30mm bracket passenger side

That settles it, Poly it is! Looks a right pain in the **** to fit though! Would geometry need done afterwards?

Yeah mine is a Blob wagon, I just bought the bushes, wasn't that bad of a job TBH, took me in the region of 20min half an hour going steady, just a bit fiddly but nothing major, I think you have to turn the steering and use a pry bar to get some clearance to get one of them in and out, just get the front of the up car nice and high.

Just watched the vid and I never removed the spline off the steering wheel. I did use plenty of penetrating spray before I started, mine also came with a sachet of grease, I got them from Alyn @ AS Performance.
