I am thinking of upgrading my suspension, for fast road and the odd track day. What is the best all round package for this purpose?
Has anyone got the Prodrive suspension package fitted to their Impreza?
If so I would be grateful if you would give me your overall impressions.
I drive a MY2000 Impreza with 18" Prodrive wheels, Prodrive brake conversion and perfomance package fitted.
Thanks in advance Rasher.

Hi Rasher
I bought a set of Prodrive professional suspension kit for my MY00 before three months.
These are stiffers than the normal WR Prodrive package and give a more balanced car if you use them on track days. The first impression is that I drive the car easier to the limit than before (My limit) without toil, less understeer and quick response in every drive condition. These are probably inappropriate for our bumpy roads but this is a different story.
I am very happy with them except a clonking noise I heard last few days from front left shock but Nick Wadeson from Prodrive is very helpfull person and would solve this problem shortly!
Forgot to mention my car is a MY00 with anti lift kit and Prodrive alignment settings
There are many alternative suspension kits but I haven't any experience from them to compare.
Hope this helps you.

Thanks for the advice Jim, i'll see if anyone else has had any experience with this package or any other before I make my mind up.

Not that many people have it because (IMHO), you can get a lot more for your money. IIRC, it's £1200 and for that you can get decent fully adjustable suspension (the Prodrive Bilstein/Eibach's are not!!!).

For that money I would look no further than the new Bilstein Coil Overs, from Powerstation (my personal pref as they can fit them and do the Geom after too), Scoobymania, NAM or JW Racing.....
