Eibach Pro Street S Coilovers

Eibach Pro Street S Coilovers
Any experience of these?
I had them fitted previously to an E36 M3 and they were great. Good build quality as you'd expect from Eibach and suited well to UK roads. Not a track set-up at all, too soft and only height adjustable. But they had great control on typical UK roads and the ride was compliant due to the spring rates.
Can't seem to find very much at all written about their application on Impreza's though. One review from a US website, but that's about all. The shocks are made by KW AFAIK and Eibach supply springs for KW.....so I believe that these Eibach coilovers are very, very similar to KW V1's.

Ive had the Eibach pro street coilovers fitted to my previous Hawk STi and my Blobeye. Also in the past ive had BC, Tein, Cusco coilovers fitted to various Imprezas over the years, and I have to say I love the Eibach pro street coilovers.
Depends what you want from a coilover, I like the fact that there not to hard for normal road use, to say compared to Tein coilovers which I find really hard even on the softest setting and I find that they used to make my car jump about on a slightly bumpy road, which I hated.
The Eibach are a perfect compromise for road use, and as you say your pretty limited to what you can do with them, as there height adjustable and thats about it.

Would you say they handled better or worse than the standard suspension on the road? Did you think it was firmer or softer? Don't want it to be wallowing or rock hard.
Is it possible to adjust the camber?

I haven't taken the plunge yet as I'm erring over whether to keep it simple and go KYB OE WRX shocks with PCA springs. As you say, difficult if there is no one around who currently has the Eibachs fitted.
I need to make a decision soon as my top mounts have started to knock and with commuting 600 miles week, they aren't going to get any better! First though, I need someone to check over the engine to see if it's even worth spending any money on the car.

Yeah hard decision. I've got Prodrive springs on the standard shocks but the rear passenger keeps knocking. Had them regreased on advice from a well known specialist and only lasted 2 months. I don't want to change but new stocks are stupidly expensive and the Eibachs seemed closest.

Seems to be an inherent problem with the OE shocks. Not sure if KYB variants are any better in the long term. One thing I will say about Eibach, with all the cars that I've used various products of theirs, quality is not an issue. "Ride" and "handling" is such a personal issue though, that all reviews and recommendations need to be taken with a pinch of salt.
I agree about ride and handling. Basically I want as close to standard as possible which hopefully the Pro Street S is!
I'm really surprised nobody else has tried the Eibachs!

In relation to the Eibachs you mean?

Yes.
But, as I previously posted, if you've got an STI, you'll need a pair of second-hand/failed rear newage WRX struts - to fit the koni inserts into.
The koni front inserts will fit the STI fronts.
A fixed perch means a strut - not height adjustable, like a coilover.

My Old Wrx that I sold to my mate has the Eibach coilovers and the softest spring rates, I find it a bit too firm and a tad jolty on normal bumpy roads at normal ish speeds, they do come alive on smooth roads though and you can feel the grip, but I couldn't use them personally it's a bit too much on a road car for me, he got them through Scooby Clinic so maybe have a word with them.
I have the PCA Dynamics springs on my standard 54 plate Wrx wagon struts and for me they are perfect for the road and a major improvement over standard, firm but no jolting or crashing over bumps and the car basically behaves it's self in the corners under all situations so far.
I rate them and would recommend them, best £200 I have spent on the car.

Which KYB struts? I'm still trying to make my mind up.
