BC coilovers/change the damper/strut?

BC coilovers/change the damper/strut?

Have a gc8 impreza, my00, wrx with bc coilovers br series. About a year, year and a half after the mount of the coilovers, the right rear started to clunk, everytime you got in a small pothole on gravel roads, and even sometimes on the highway if there was some small bumps. Changed the top mount rubber bushing to new ones, but still the same noise. After that i changed to oem struts with progressiv eibach springs. And after that the noise disappeard. So it must be the damper itself causing the noise? So i was thinking two change the dampers to new ones, if its possible? Or buy two new ones or used... what do you think?
