Guys, due to an oversight on my behalf, I have recently bought a low mileage 03 STI engine, which I bought to replace the duff engine in my 03 WRX (Bottom end went). Being a complete *******, I completely forgot that it was only the JDM WRX's that have AVCS heads - NOT UK WRX's which is what I have!
So rather than strip the heads off the engine and swap them over with my WRX one's, I was looking to see if anyone here wanted to swap their low mileage newage WRX engine for my STI engine (plus obviously a bit of cash my way!) or alternatively, someone wants to buy the engine off me as it stands now.
Its a bare long engine (No ancillaries at all) - It comes with a receipt of sale from the garage that rebuilt and supplied it.

Price wise, I'm looking for for around £600 as it is now or £200 plus your WRX engine, which looking at the other STI engines on here is a good price!
I guess if anyone was particularly after just the STI AVCS heads they can make an offer, and if the price is right, I'll swap the heads over
I have pics of the engine if any one wants them
The engine is located in Gosport, Nr Portsmouth

you can run it without using the avcs heads,i have in my uk wrx for 8 months now

just fit the engine and jobs done

I thought if you ran it without the AVCS heads attached it ran really rich and caused the car to intermittently stall?

You'd need to bring your engine to me. I cant be doing with sticking it on a pallet unless its being sold outright! What sort of miles has yours got?

I'm putting this on hold at the mo, as I want to fully check out the engine before I do anything with it - Plus as it turns out I can just slot it into my WRX without any issues, I might just do that!
