AFP 'Billeted' 20G
As above, AFP TD 05-20G just back from the billet conversion with two new oil journal bearings and some work done to the actuator, all done by John @ Braveheart Racing Developments.
Still in the box since the conversion with zero miles. This should easily see the right side of 400 with the right mods and as high as 450(ish) on the right fuel.
£700
Some pics.
Payment will be by Paypal or no coconut for you.

John at BRD http://www.braveheartracingdevelopments.com/

Did the billet conversion and checked it over. If you would like to contact him and clarify this feel free I don't mind.
Nope it will be anything but laggy on a 2.1 especially with the billet conversion, heres a graph of another user on a 2.1 with a billet 20G.

Iv just spoke to my mapper and he has advised that an 18g will be better or sc36
This turbo seems like a good price though
How different is the 18g and 20g...tbf im not hell bent on chasing massive numbers or stupid boost i just want a good useable package that can take abuse round a track all day long with everything working at 75% as opposed to 150%
Cheers

It basically depends on how much power you want, you get a figure in your head 400 for example and you search all the turbos that make around the 400 mark and make your decision from there.
The billet 20G would spool like a normal 18G but make alot more power, it'll max out around 410(ish) on normal tesco or Shell 99 ron stuff depending on supporting mods and make as much as 450(ish) on a methanol mix.
Or you can run it on less boost and make less power but still have something in reserve if you should ever want a bit more.
So how much power do you want?

my limiting factor really is my gearbox (v3 type r)
400 is what i wanted initially and i think i can support it...worried about blowing the headgaskets though if i run to much boost as im on an open deck block and standard head studs
i have nitrided and cross drilled crank steel rods and mahle stroker pistons though!
iv got 850cc injectors ready to fit to as my standard ones were at 100 % duty cycle on standard fuel pressure and on a vf23 until i fitted a new fpr now everything is running a bit better!
currently at just under 330 bhp but feel like i want more as it just does not give you that kick if you know what i mean
bought the injectors so everything is easily working within its range so it can take abuse round a track all day and thought if i have to pay for the remap it would be rude to not put a bigger turbo on to haha
let me know what you think haha
id probably be more than happy with 350 but then again i have never driven a 400bhp subaru so cannot realistically guage what i think is ideal

Mine was on a V3 RA originally, felt brutal with the closeness of the gears. I got away with the V3 gearbox for years infact, I never did manage to mangle it but only changed it for peace of mind.
One things sure though I was one of the few who managed to sustain the life of the gearbox at that sort of power as many have let go with way less than what mine had.

Your third on that list then, can't believe this was on here for almost a week with zero interest and now it's provisionally sold I've knocked back four other offers!
