Somebody out there must be doing a 6 speed conversion and not wanting the cost of converting to R180 rear end...

Do the 3.9 R160 & R180 use the same crown and pinion? So would this fit a r180 diff? Not too up to speed on the ins and outs of the diff gubbins

No the R160 / R180 stands for the diameter size of the crownwheel...

This will only fit an R160 Diff... but means you can utilise a R160 (standard classic) rear diff to match a 3.9 ratio front gearbox.
Makes 6 Speed conversion cheaper ;-)
