Car For Spares MY53 STi Best goodies on offer
Hi All,
My Engine recently gave up the ghost, no need to go into the details and I'm currently contemplating selling the car for someone who really wants to tune their car from top to bottom with all the parts I have accumulated over the past 8 years. This is a once in a life time chance to buy this as a whole package (you would need to take the car away as it won't drive) but what you get is as follows (I put some very low estimates on what you could "easily sell the parts on for" note I'm not looking to sell the parts individually so please don't ask. Just as a whole. Please do not offer me prices that are insulting as again I will ignore.
I'm contemplating going for a 2.1 stroker rebuild but for now Im testing the water and willing to pass this on at a bargain price of £4000!!! I've traded here before and I'm potentially looking at other cars if someone buys.
Here goes with indicated sell on prices 'conservative' estimates (note I am not breaking the car)
I will send pictures later but its your standard WR blue STi Blob my53 plate.

Yes they have tyres, etc but Im not selling in part just as a whole. Whoever buys this will be very, very happy guaranteed. I just dont have the time to bartar and sell each bit individually break stuff off, etc, etc..
The Engine of course is also there so someone could also maybe use for own build. It's probably just some valves, so a strip down, change, etc.

Yep basically driving on an A road to newcastle felt a shudder, then warning light, Knock sensor alarm, then cut out.. Luckily I was able to glide to a layby. Called Greenflag they took a look and we both saw timing belt freyed as if it had jumped out or rubbing on something. Anyway took it to a motorsport garage near me they took radiator out and few other things, checked compression, looked at belt and said it was out by a number of degrees (timing) and so probably damaged values, etc maybe more but could only be sure if stripped and examined, etc. As the engine had done near 100k I probably would do that without just rebuilding to say a 2.1 Stroker. Already cost me to get it to and from the garage. I was looking to sell next year anyway to upgrade but maybe to a Nissan or Mitsubishi or later Subaru. Yes I could have taken some parts but would rather just sell as whole...

I had a good turbo before (cant remember one of those H ones). But too much lag for me so I spoke with Turbo Dynamics about how I could get something that spooled as fast as the 18G but had a little bit more. We went with that design and now (or rather before) almost no lag, fast spool all the time, etc.
