Default SOLD JECS ECU 94 WRX

Found this ECU whilst clearing out a few things in the garage. It came from my old 94 WRX. As you can see its a JECS ECU which has the socket soldered in (from factory) for a 'piggy back' chip. I couldn't begin to tell which exact one it is as I can't remember what was written on the case. I started a thread to see if anyone could identify it but no replies yet.

It already has a chip fitted but again all I can tell you is what mods were done to the car, it was running a TD05 Turbo, decat, 3" SS exhaust and induction kit.

The resistor has already been cut so was successfully running with the chip.

I have just been told it can't be mapped as it stands, I'm assuming you can fit different chips tho, but I should imagine that someone on here might be able to shed more light.

looking for £40

Cheers

Stu, the advert is misleading fella, the ECU can not be remapped as it is.

If this is a UK Ecu that has been chipped, would this have to run standard UK fuel or would it be the same as a Import and run 97/99ron??

Also what difference would it be over say a Z4 import ECU??

Sounds interesting.

I've a Z4 running TD05, FMIC, Decat, and Induction kit basically. And wondering if this would be any good.
