Default 2.5 STI Pistons 99.5

Hi Guys.

I have for sale some 2.5 STI Pistons

Standard size with Rings, Pins etc. i belive the standard size is 99.5?

40,000Mile car.

Removed to replace with new

£40 plus £7 postage

are those the ones with ring land issues? and made of paper mashe? lol

They only have ring land issues if the mapping is wrong and gets to hot, mapped correctly and well there fine for 380/400bhp with out issue. hence why subaru recalled them to replace the map as they ran to lean.

Ok..

Ideal for any one who may have damaged a piston and dont want to buy uprated pistons etc

Not to slate you sale but it was never justthe map thatwas the issue. It was also to do with the materials used to manufacture the pistons. The cars were recalled and the map was changed as a "fix" to the issue in hand. It was never the cause of the failures.

That said they dont often go if you dont thrash your car too often.

they are hypereutectic pistons which in fact are supposed to reppel heat well but these ones dont do this so well

they are good for 400bhp though with a good map

and because they are not forged and are hypereutectic they run tight tollerances which reduces oil consumption etc and also are very quiet too in regards to slap etc

worth the asking price
