Smile Cheap 3" Downpipe with sport CAT !

PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY !

I have for sale a 3" downpipe with sport CAT to fit the Newage 2.0 models.

It is the 'one piece' design which replaces the downpipe and centre CAT pipe.

If you view the last couple of pages of my thread 'Help, killed the Scooby', you will see the problems I have had getting it to fit my car.

It looks as though the pipework is not quite the right shape, not far out but needs some work to get it to fit.

Basically the CAT was too close to the turbo outlet and fouled the steering knuckle, I paid £90 two weeks ago to get it moved further down the pipework.

This meant that the CAT does not hit the knuckle but the pipework still needed a little bit of 'persuasion' to clear the linkage.

I think I have managed to sort this but the pipework needs bending where it meets the centre section of the exhaust.

I think that it only needs moving by about an inch but my attempts have only managed to slightly squash the pipework !

I am selling it cheap with no guarantee that it will fit without some further modification !

It could be cut and welded to achieve the correct fittment or bent using the correct equipment, I have just run out of patience with it !

The downpipe is similar to the ones sold by Japspeed and ebay seller '2fast2cool' but this is not meant to reflect on the quality of their products !

I can get some pictures if you are interested but it will be the next time I visit the lock up where the car is.

Currently this stands me at £249 + £90 for the welding, I realise anyone buying it will have to mess about to get it to fit so looking for £100 INCLUDING UK postage.

PM me if interested or call me on 07791 689184

Sorry but £100 for a sportscat downpipe with the quote "I am selling it cheap with no guarantee that it will fit" doesnt sound like an amazing deal.

You could always pay £250 + postage for a new one so that you can take it back if it doesn't fit !

At £100 posted, someone who has access to a pipe bender or can weld stainless has a cheap sport cat.

I don't know how much the catalytic converter would cost on it's own but I guess they are not cheap, it could be cut out of the downpipe and re-used in a custom exhaust build I guess ?

Anyone who is interested can always make me an offer !

I have now identified where the pipe needs cutting and re-welding, not a big job for someone with the right skills !

It is a 100 cell as far as I know ?

Cheers for the advice Rob, they are the local 'Powerflow' supplier.

I took the downpipe in to them a couple of weeks ago and was basically invited to p**s off in not so many words !

They don't seem keen on working on something they didn't supply ?
