Default PSi3 Data Monitor

If you don't know what this is, its a Data Monitor for all Subaru's, that can communicate with the ECU, via the OBD port, to show you the below:

No display (blank area)
BP Boost pressure BAR
IN Intake air temperature DEGREES C (this is not charge temperature)
CT Coolant temperature DEGREES C
ES Engine speed RPM
BV Battery VOLTS
TH Throttle position % (some cars have limited range E.G 5 to 85 %)
RS Road speed MPH or KMH (user selectable)
IA Ignition advance DEGREES BTDC
AF Air flow meter GRAMMES PER SECOND
LA Lambda sensor 1 LAMBDA RATIO
KC or KN Knock correction DEGREES (ignition offset)
ID Injector duration MILLISECONDS
EG Exhaust gas temperature DEGREES C (Software version 7 onwards only)
TC Time of day clock (Software version 4 onwards only)
EX Exhaust gas temperature (Software version 9 onwards only)
OT Oil temperature (Available with software version 8 onwards)
Requires external addition sensors to be fitted.
OP Oil pressure (Available with software version 8 onwards)
Requires external addition sensors to be fitted.

All this data is real time.

It is also used to read Subaru fault codes, and reset the ECU.

Its DIN mounted, but easy to remove, and can be fitted into the top mount cubby hole on facelift classic's, and onwards models.

It has an LCD screen.

The firm ceased trading a few yeards back, it was a project by a Subaru enthusiast, and he sold loads of units. Its a shame these are hard to come by now.

Anyway, here are the pics, I might try and take one in the car, working, but my camera doesn't like the dark so much:

More pics:

Next to my top mounted DIN (not included or for sale)

I want £150 delivered. Or collected from Essex, near lakeside.

NOW SOLD, thanks for the interest

Still for sale.

You can't really tell in the pic I took, but its in a sealed unit, so if you don't want to mount it, it can be used as a portable diagnostic machine.

No you won't.
If I have to put this on ebay, it'll be for more than it is on here.

Do it today, its free listing this weekend

Seriously though I would be tempted and thought about it but I just cant see the point of it, I have a 3 guage pod and a EOBD code reader. Plus nowhere to put it on a uk single din model.

Yeah I know, but thats on a 99p start auction. I'd do a BIN for 170, and it'd sell.

Yes, mounting could be an issue for some people, and I think the top mount is the best way.

It probably would, its a useful bit of kit. I cant justify the outlay (just splashed on a cordless impact driver) but Im sure someone would.

What the hell is your problem???

Ask for your best price and get slated.... I've sold and bought plenty on here and other forums!

Certainly have lost yourself one genuinely interested customer there!

You've aksed me the same question on most of my other items, and it gets tiresome, you say you want something then you don't.

Its no loss to me.

Was a bit harsh before, apologies.

You the pod is about 60 quid new from subaru, its comes with a metal cage so you can mount stereo's in there also.

You can only use Defi sensors, and only for Oil Temp and Oil Pressure.

No probe chap, I know there are a lot of timewasters about!

So all of the above readings will be displayed bar oil pressure?

Obviously does this still work on an ECUtek ecu?

Cheers ;-)

No, EGT wouldn't have shown on this, as it was a version 4 software, so all the items that need a later software wouldn't have worked.

Still works on ECUtek's thats what I have. Some of these PSi3 were actually branded with ECUtek.

I have one of these but unfortunately doesn't work. There is something wrong with display. Digits on top lights up but nothing from half way down. Do You know anyone is expert in these?

Yes that one on ebay is mine, but if I had to put it on ebay, it won't be for sale on here because of the ebay fee's.

I've got a pending offer going through.

Check all the screen connections are ok, otherwise it may need a new one.
