TD06-20G billet turbo, with a 7cm exhaust housing. Comes with water + oil fittings.
The turbo is a td06-7cm hotside (78-10820 70), with a td06-20g cold side (49179-54), but with a billet wheel. It was originally purchased from ScoobyClinic by the previous owner (IIRC 'henrysmith' on here). Originally marketed as an SC42 (gen 1), it's a 400+ capable turbo, but with the normal TD05/06 sleeve bearings, rather than the roller bearings of the newer SC42s (which are Garrett based). It MIGHT be an FP Green turbo, which was rebranded - if not, it's the usual Blouch rebranding that SC do.
The wheels are in good condition, and there is no in/out movement of the wheels (i.e. the thrust bearing is good), and there is only minimal left/right movement (which are due to the oil clearances in the sleeve bearings, not worn bearings).
The turbo has been fitted with a TD05 wastegate, which works fine, but the shaft looks a bit sad (some stress fractures from bending it to fit). I've never had a problem with it, but for peace of mind you might want to fit a different wastegate (such as the Kinugawa units).
On my 2.1 with 2002 WRX heads, it makes 1 bar by 3600 RPM, and about 1.5 by 4000. I don't know what this translates to in terms of HP, but the car is definitely moving rapidly at those boost levels.
I'm looking for 300 for the turbo. Ideally collection from Bromley/Orpington in Kent, so that you can inspect what you're buying, but I might be persuaded to send the turbo too.
Reason for selling is that I'm currently playing with various combinations of TD04HL turbos, so this will be sat on my shelf for the foreseeable future. I would be amenable to doing a deal on this turbo + the RCM headers I have for sale also (see separate thread).
