Hi Turbo would fit but you would have to get bigger oil feed lines. Also some bigger injectors would bid an idea which I have Also

oh wasn't aware of this, I thought it was the case of out with the old td04 and in with the vf48 as a direct replacement.

Mask Craig bellworthy to build you one! That’s what I did for my wrx! Very good guy to speak to.

Hawkeye WRX already has 550cc injectors as standard same as the STI.

Oil and water line kit including gaskets for the turbo can be purchased for £50 for the lot.

And yes, the VF48 will bolt onto a hawkeye WRX because I did just that. Perfect turbo for any 2.5 engine.

Would need STI TMIC, scoop under tray, new fuel pump, uprated air filter, possibly better downpipe and 3 port BCS to get the most from it.

I just wanna get to around 320bhp, but not spending too much.
I've already got full decat/panel filter or stage 1 map as people say, was road mapped by Andrew carr so no print out though I suspect its running around 270bhp ish.
I want a fast spool for road use so undecided about vf48 or vf35 but trying to do it on the least spend possible.

VF48 would be better than a VF35 on a 2.5 engine as that's what it was designed for. The dual AVCS and 2.5 torque will spin the larger turbo up just fine. Mine was an animal on the VF48.

Sorry I got the that impression as on facebook Craig Bellworthy told me the VF35 spools up much faster than vf48?

On a 2.0 car with single AVCS like earlier Newage cars the VF35 will spool faster and the vf34 even faster as its roller bearing rather than sleeve bearing. The VF35 was designed for the 2.0 engine. The VF43 and Vf48 were specifically designed for the 2.5 engine and work well with the additional torque and dual AVCS.

Okay that's great, thanks for clearing that up. I'm sure I told him mine was a 2.5 wrx hawk, maybe he misread it.
Will keep an eye on this.
