You might as well stick with the VF43 mate, a VF35 change won't make any difference. Just buy a silenced centre section for the exhaust and a prodrive box off ebay for about £50-70.....

Job done.

The vf35 and vf43 are very similar indeed. As you say though the vf43 is more suited to the 2.5 engines. I'm not sure it's worth swapping your turbo though. The vf43 looks to be in great condition and a bargain for someone. Any vf35 you find will be a lot older.

Is it not just worth changing the exhaust out and getting a more conservative map on the vf43? That's what I'd do personally.

I've got a 2.5 inch decat downpipe, 2.5 inch centre section and a prodrive back box. Also got a vf35. Mapped to 310/315. Any help

Actually I wasn't taking the ****!!!!! I don't know how much a prodrive exhaust sells for as I don't sell Subaru parts. Regarding turbo and exhaust. As I bought the car with said items on already and have had no reason to change them. Why would I know how many miles on and make of exhaust. My setup has been fine since I bought the car in 2012. So before you start saying people are taking the **** find out the facts first you ****!!!!!!!

Oh and by the way on your op you never mentioned miles on turbo or make of exhaust. All you said is you wanted a swap and a quieter exhaust.
