The engine was running before I removed it but it had a bad knocking noise (sounded like bottom end). The previous owner drove it home gingerly 2 miles where it sat for a year, it then was only started a handful of times so if you're lucky it may only be light damage to the crank if any at all, and an easy repair if you have the time to do so which I didn't. The car had 47000 miles/km on the clock
The engine is from a 2002 JDM pro drive style bug eye STI and the engine code is EJ207DW4CR, it has AVCS heads and from information I have found on the internet certain internals are forged and I believe this engine is a semi closed deck but I have not removed the heads etc to confirm this. I believe this engine would be a good starting point for a project. I drove the car with this engine in the year before it started knocking and it pulled very well. I am going to be honest and think I know why the engine went as when I had the car mapped it was still on the jdm map, the previous owner was using standard unleaded and it turned out the fuel pump was on it's way out all leading to running lean and probably running hot.
I would like £300 for the engine as I believe the heads alone are probably worth that,this engine is being sold as spares or repairs, any other questions please ask.

Engine is located at my brothers in Ascot, Berkshire.
