PPG Straight cut 5-speed gearbox with DCCD - SOLD!!!!
Due to building a bigger powered engine, I have bitten the bullet and got a 6-speed DCCD box so now my TY754 5-speed PPG box out of my Sti6 RA V-Ltd is up for sale.
Build in 2010 by Zen Performance to include the following:
Straight cut 1st - 4th
OE Helical UK 5th (for better motorway driving)
Billet Selector Forks
Soda Blasted Casings (made it look good as new)
New OE Seals when Zen built it and rebuild seal kit from Steve Whitson when he rebuilt it.
Box did 1000 running in miles on the new engine and then another 900 road miles and 2 trackdays with 450bhp. Only issue was when the wife was a bit keen on a gearchange with the Twin Plate clutch and screwed the 3rd gear synchro and damaged the teeth on the 3rd-4th gear hub.
Steve Whitson rebuilt the box recently with a new 3rd-4th Hub and new Synchro's ( rebuild bill was 600 in total, Steve showed me the damaged bits and he told me never let my wife drive that car again
) and the box has been sitting in the garage since, ready to go into a car.
Shame to see it sitting there feeling sorry for itself so either I fit it into the trackcar and run a low boost 450/430 and sprint it for a few years....... or let it go to a new home which will get as much fun out of it as I did
4.44 Front Diff and DCCD Centre Diff so will fit STi 4-6 with appropriate 4.44 Rear Diff.
Looking for 1500 + Delivery for it which I feel is the right price for a very low-mileage, recently rebuilt PPG box with DCCD (this would cost you well in excess of 3000 to build nowadays!!!)
