Default 2003 Impreza WRX PPP (JGM remapped)

2003 (53) UK supplied Subaru Impreza WRX PPP (JGM remapped).
1 Previous owner (I have owned the car for over 9 years!)
MOT til Dec 2013 and Tax 2/14 (will be getting the MOT in the next few weeks)
Tracker Monitor (sub paid until March 2014 and I believe is transferable)
HPI clear
FULL UK Subaru dealership History
Standard Subaru CAT 1 Alarm / immobilizer
4 door
Prodrive Performance package (PPP) Certificate present
78,579 miles
WR Mica Blue
Engine:
Subaru Impreza wrx 2.0 turbo Flat four engine, has covered 78,579 miles from new, with all MOTs / service records to prove current mileage. The engine is extremely well maintained and looked after with oil levels being checked regularly; Top Grade oil is always used.

Engine Size: 1994 cc
Cylinders: 4 (flat four)
0-60 mph: 4.8 secs
0-100 mph: 14.1 secs
Power Output: 275.1hp

The PPP Package makes a big difference in the general overall performance of the car, with a claimed 40 bhp over the standard WRX. However as you may or may not be aware Subaru were somewhat overzealous with the BHP output figures, as most ppp models make considerably less (Mine was 254 when Rolling road tested). I’ve had a sensible ECU remap carried out by Jolly Green Monster racing to reach 275.1BHP with all the correct supporting modifications (power and torque graph included).

Modifications are as follows:

Prodrive sports CAT downpipe.
Cat Back Prodrive Exhaust system, with a 4" Tail pipe, this really gives the Subaru the signature flat four rumble which is what Subaru's are all about.
Walbro 255 fuel pump
Pipercross panel filter

I must point out that these modifications were not a Sunday afternoon DIY effort and its modification history can be verified by GRD racing who have been looking after the car for the last 2 years.
It was always my goal to take the car to safe 300 with plans for a simple decatted up pipe, remap tweak and exhaust system, but being extremely busy with work, and a second baby on the way I just don’t have the time to play anymore.

The car has been run on a company fuel card for my 9 years ownership with shell optimax being the only fuel used (and mapped for). Occasionally BP ultimate.

Gearbox:
The Standard Subaru Impreza WRX gearbox is fantastic, 5 speed enabling you to ****** 0-60 in just two gears (unlike the STI’s). Gear changing is easy, smooth and very impressive throughout the rev range with no nasty crunches or stickiness when cold or warm.

Bodywork:
I’ll be honest about these now to save your time and mine, but I feel the price takes this into consideration. Front end has some stone chips. Bonnet scoop edge is chipped and there are a couple of light car park dings. There are a few light scratches on the front bumper and rear bumper, rear spoiler has a light scuff, but nothing out of the ordinary for a car of this age. It has not been in ANY accident of any kind.

Interior:
The Interior is the totally standard WRX Black cloth which has been very well cared for. It’s been a non-smoking car all its life and I’ve had no babies, dogs or other things that create mess or smell in it. Comes with the Standard Subaru CD / Tape Player with Radio and other functions, Power Steering, Air-conditioning, Electric windows all round, Engine immobilizer and Central Locking via the Key Fob, electric mirrors. Front fog lights. Everything works with NO issues.

Drive train:
The Subaru has great traction, due to its All-Wheel Drive system and really enhances the performance of the car in any weather conditions. The fact that you can drive this car in exactly the same way as in the dry is testament to this fantastic drive train and WRC roots (UK snow days are on the way!).

Alloy Wheels & Brakes:
Subaru Standard 17" Alloy wheels all in good condition, a couple of light kerb marks but nothing major, all 4 tyres are wrapped in Bridgestone RE050 potenzas, all in great condition with 7+mm of tread. Subaru Standard Brakes, all in great working order, stop the car very well, and again are very well maintained.

History & service:
The cars service history can be traced and verified by Bell and Colvill (6 years of service history) and GRD (2 years of service history) if required but the service book is present and complete along with the original PPP cert. I have also kept every single receipt for absolutely everything for the car. I even have the original sales order form.

The following additional routine maintenance work, outside of any services has also been undertaken by GRD.

Standard replacement clutch including friction plate cover and release bearing.
Re-faced / machined existing flywheel
Replacement flywheel bearing
Front droplinks replaced with offside shock – dreaded Subaru knocking noise.

For total peace of mind for the new owner I’ve had the big 100K service completed at Bell and Colvill (15-08-13). A good point to note for any respective buyer of a 2003 wrx is this age car will be coming up for this big service soon and something to financially consider.

In this service it has had the cam belt changed, AC belt, AC system regassed, new front pads along with a full inspection of everything – to summarize I have just spent over £900 preparing the car for sale (Bell and colvill receipt to prove!). The new owner can buy (and I can sell) in complete confidence it wants for nothing mechanically. Bell and Colvill Subaru have also commented on what great condition the car is in and will be happy to speak to any respective buyer.
The car drives, feels and sounds as good now as it did when I picked it up 9 years ago!

Conclusion:
Sale is due as I’ve said to me not having enough time to devote to my car, and not using the car enough (8000miles in the last 3 years!), this coupled with the impending arrival of a second baby! (I managed to hang onto the car through the first ;-).

As you can see the car has been well looked after and maintained regardless of the cost to which the receipts will testify.

It’s the perfect car for someone who’s looking at continuing to modify or enjoy this very fast car as it is.

Please no tyre kickers, test pilots, dreamers! group viewings or agencies. You will not drive the car without proof of fully comp insurance and I’m not considering any PX or swap of any kind.

Again, as mentioned I will get the MOT carried out in the next few weeks and sort anything that needs doing.

£3,900 ovno

Just spoken to Tracker. The subscription is not transferable and stays with the owner not the car.
The physical unit will stay on the car and should the new owner want to activate it for insurance purposes they can do so.

I've had lots of interest in my car for which I’m thankful. Hopefully it will be finding a new owner soon..;-)

In the meantime I understand that traveling long distances to view a car is often expensive and a risk for both parties. For genuine interest I can offer a LIVE video conference facility where you and I can chat, and I can point the camera in every nook and cranny on the car you may be interested in.
This facility is a secure Enterprise grade business video system and safe for both parties – all that’s required is a smart phone/tablet with a camera and broadband connection, or a PC with camera and Broadband connection.
