2005 Widetrack STI
I have owned this car since late Feb this year. Unfortunately my new job means I have to travel 150 miles per day so my Impreza now sits in my garage awaiting my day off once a week.
we have also decided that we are converting our garage into a dining room so I will have nowhere to keep her.
It has taken a long time for me to put her up for sale as I don't want to let go, it took me months of looking before I settled on this one for many reasons.
So the car;
2005, 55 reg Blobeye 2.0 STI UK. December 2005 registered.
6 speed DCCD gearbox
Crystal grey Metallic,
48225 miles as of today (will rise slightly but not much)
FSH, picture included of service book with miles and dates
MOT done on Saturday so full 12 months (no advisories again)
Cambelt done last year at 42,000 miles
Blitz Nur Spec with sports cat downpipe, all 3" (very loud but sounds awesome)
Tax until Feb 2014
I spent nearly £1500 in July getting a few bits done:
New Vresedstein Ultrac Sessantas all round
New EBC discs and yellowstuff pads all round
Alloys refurbished in anthracite powdercoat
It's a fantastic drive and i've only had 1 issue since I bought it, the front lambda sensor went so I had it replaced with a genuine one. other than that, it's been superb
power wise, i'm going to say its standard, however, the performance suggests it's not. I just have no evidence of mapping etc..
with the exhaust being full 3" and the K&N panel filter, the way it drives pulls all the way to the redline I believe it may have been mapped. but my lack of evidence says its standard....
I have been in an identical car from a local club member but his had replaced turbo TD05 20G, injectors and mapped to 392bhp by Andy Forest. His was no quicker or smoother. he thought I was lying about ,mine but then saw the original turbo still there.
There are a couple of points worth noting for the prospective buyer:
1. few stonechips on front end (not major but worth mentioning)
2. The abs light has just come on as the o/s rear abs ring is cracked. this was done when the brakes were replaced. it comes on and goes off like it should until you hit 30mph, then stays on. I spoke to a local specialist who is on here and he said not to worry about it as it just means the abs doesn't work until I replace it. the part was about £20 from him plus labour, so a small fix. I will be doing this if I find time before I sell it.
3. Service is due now. I was planning on doing engine, gearbox and diffs if it doesn't sell but I don't really want to fork out if i'm selling it.
I want £8500, I may listen to offers.
car is in South Shields but I work in Carlisle so I can have it at either if needed.

Few offers between £7500 and £7800. Just want a touch more guys. This is a good car. May consider £7800 if it's before Xmas. I'll be servicing it and sorting abs ring them and will probably end up just keeping it.
