Spec D with a bite!
Hi All
Through lack of use and pursuing other hobbies (and a new car) I have decided to free up some space in my garage and sell the Spec D reincarnated (subtly). I have covered only 650 miles since April of this year.
2006 Subaru Impreza 2.5 STi Spec D,
Mint much cared for Condition,
Very low mileage at only 15,300 miles.
Current output 486bhp 471ft-Ib.
Description as a standard factory car:
o The Spec-D (Discreet) was launched in 2006, an Official Limited run of 300 UK Crystal Grey Metallic STi’s.
o Externally it has the small spoiler, fogs, lower mesh grille and silver STi alloy wheels. Certificated Subaru STi Spec D Silver Sticker in the Door Shut.
o Inside the Spec D has increased sound deadening, full leather, an up rated audio system, satellite navigation and camera detection.
o Subaru claim a power output of 280BHP and 392Nm.
o Background
Stu (53) bought this Spec D in 2007 having wanted one since its press release in 2005. At a year old it made a cracking second hand buy from my local dealer. At just 7k miles and in mint condition it was ripe for some subtle but essential handling and performance mods. Having only covered 4k miles in the car all of the modifications carried out by Stu were still looking brand new when I bought the car, and they are the same after a total of 8k miles.
The interior was when I bought the car and still is factory fresh and still has the new car smell. My objective with this car was to keep it looking as close to standard as possible whilst having extremely capable handling and bags of punch. The only interior modification is the custom made laser cut plastic surround which houses the black AVCR controller in place of the ash tray and the scan gauge. Ashtray supplied with the sale.
When I saw this car 13/14 months ago it was exactly what I wanted. A low mileage Hawkeye with a virtually standard engine.
The combination of the quality handling modifications and the top spec engine build has led to a very quick car that can be driven conservatively but absolutely flies when you wind her up! The handling modifications mean the car is very rigid and absolutely planted around the twisties!

Thanks Pal. Nice to have a bit of history as well as a list! The previous owner is a true enthusiast and I try to be when I get a chance with work but didn't scrimp on the engine and put a fair bit of planning into it her.

This car is nothing short of faultless, probably better than the day it left the show room, a proper wolf I'm Sheep's clothing
Who ever ends up with this will NOT be disappointed, it's a stunning car and always a pleasure to look at when it makes the meets.
Good luck with the sale bud, no doubt you will miss it when it's gone!
