2005 55 JDM Hawkeye STi
Time has come to push my detailing business a stage further so I need a van and a daily run around. Unfortunately this is just too good to use as that.
If you know your Imprezas then you'll know the vast difference between the UK hawkeyes and the JDM equivalent, if not I'll list them below.
Stock JDM stuff (over UKDM) includes:
2.0 Litre engine not the uk 2.5
Equal length manifold
Amber illuminated Defi instrumentation with sweep-on-start
Electric folding mirrors
Quicker steering rack
8000rpm redline (7k for UKDM)
VF37/36 Twin-scroll turbo
Larger profile cams with AVCS
Larger valves
Forged con rods
Nitrated and cross drilled crank
6-speed with DCCD (JDM has shorter ratios plus auto mode on DCCD and stronger bearings)
Auto intercooler spray (UKDM is manual)
Titanium strut brace
235 width tyres
Very rare to find and even rarer to find with just over 41k miles on the clock. This one even still has the JDM flare in place in the passenger foot well.
Has a few tasteful mods but nothing which detracts from the original spec.
Full Milltek exhaust with sports cat (MOT friendly)
Godspeed 2 piece floating discs on the front with EBC Bluestuff pads all round. Braided lines and DOT 5.1 fluid
Exedy clutch
Cosworth panel filter
Ecutek Remap by Simon aka JGM
350bhp 380-390 Ftlbs torque (Will need to check dyno printouts to be exact)
Yoko AD08s with loads of tread left
Carbon fibre front splitter
Low road tax when it was imported it was put in the wrong tax band. So costs only £140 A YEAR to tax (I did contact the DVLA about it in case it would lead to problems but they very kindly told me to bugger off and not worry about it)
Lots of history and receipts with the car, all service records from the previous owner including proof of the cambelt being replaced. I've owned it for just under a year and had it serviced by Zak @ Mocom shortly after I got it who gave it a clean bill of health.
Dyno printouts are also present from when Simon mapped it at Surrey Rolling Road.
I have a set of carbon fibre mudflaps I purchased from a car Pole Position were breaking currently unfitted in my garage. I'll throw these in with the car for the correct price.
As a detailer the paint is in excellent condition. It's had lots of different products used on it but at present It's got Wolfgang paint sealant and Zymol Glasur wax which really gives it a great finish.
Bad points.
The wheels could do with a refurb (I have a set of black Enkei wheels in the garage which are in much better condition and again can be included in the sale)
It doesn't always start on the first turn of the key I think It's probably either the crank or cam sensor occasionally playing up (I have a pair of them again sitting in the garage which again I'll throw in) It never really bothers me as 90% of the time it fires first time, if not it'll start on the second turn.
Usual stone chips
I'd possibly consider a PX of a Clio 182 with both cup packs or FF
No test drives without written proof of insurance to cover you comprehensively on MY car not yours. If not I'll be driving.
£11000 ono. Which for a genuine, low mileage, JDM Hawkeye STi offers great value. In my eyes this is a future classic Impreza.

I was watching of these on eBay this week, and it got to 9500 and failed to sell (obviously) as the reserve was not met. I was hoping for a bargain. I have to say though it worth the ask price all day long.
Edit just removed a comment on road tax, as its in your advert already, Low Tax!

Was surprised to see you selling it so soon Boyd. But then, good luck with your new venture.
On a positive note, good to see it's sold to someone within the forum.

Don't want to be selling it but having just paid for my wedding and honeymoon the bank balance is a bit on the low side to be starting up a new business.
Need a van and a weekend run around, this is too good to be sitting about and not getting used.
I'd not sell it to anybody I wasn't comfortable with and like you say I'll be chuffed if it goes to a fellow Scoobynet member
