Going cheap - Modified 2003 WRX with spare set of wheels and track tyres
SOLD!
It's with great regret that I'm selling my 2003 WRX (see photos at the bottom) I've had it since 2008 and it's been our 2nd car and occasional track day car since then. Unfortunately I've moved in to a house that needs renovating, so I haven't got the time or money to do any more track days, and need to swap it for a little run around to ferry the kids to school
Basic details - 92k miles, tax till end Feb and MOT till next June. In good condition, with a minor few marks and scratches here and there.
You can see from the pictures that the car is red, except for the bonnet and fog surrounds which are black. I damaged the old bonnet due to a scoop issue a few years ago, so this was a replacement from a black 2003 WRX being broken for spares.
I quite like the effect, but understand that a buyer may want to get these resprayed to match the rest of the car so I've knocked the cost of this (approx £250) off the price already.
The sale incudes (if you want them) a spare set of standard WRX wheels with Yokohama AO48 track tyres. They are in good nick and have many track days left in them.
As I've taken it on the track, I installed an oil pressure and oil temp monitor, a PSI3 ECU monitor and an air intake temp monitor.
It started as a PPP (and still has the PPP exhaust back box), and I've modded it a bit over the years to make it more suitable on the track but still fine as a 2nd car for a family with two kids. Crucially, it still passed the MoT emissions test without fiddling thanks to the sports cat. These mods included:
VF34 turbo
STI pink injectors
Oil catch can and return line
Panel filter
Decat up pipe
Sports cat downpipe
Walboro fuel pump
3 port boost solenoid
Sti intercooler, tray and scoop
GT Spec headers (heatwrapped)
Whileline adjustable anti roll bars front and back
Goodspeed 335mm front brake kit
EBC blue stuff pads front
Ferodo DS2500 pads back
Mapped for premium Unleaded
Small upgrades and basic maintenance I've done myself, but the important mods (like changing the turbo and remapping) were done by Zak@Mocom Racing.
Priced to sell @ £2750. I live just south of Watford. PM or contact me on 07957 452 425
Will also consider a swap for a Ford Fiesta or KA (or something small and equally boring) - will use Parkers Price Guide to work out the equity in the swap.
Photos below - larger versions available here.
You can see the PSI3 and guages
Spare set of wheels with track tyres
As you can see, plenty of life left in the brake pads
