Default 2008 STI hatch...... £9995

After a lot of thought I have to admit that I just don't use the car as it should be used anymore and I see no point in clocking up even more mileage so the time has come to move on to something more practical to ferry my newborn around.

I have owned the car since February 2010. At the time it had about 77000 miles on the clock but felt more like 40000 and to be honest it still does. I got it totally standard but the modding bug quickly bit.

To cut a long story short that we have all heard before. I am now at the point where I have got a nice daily driver running approx 380 bhp (mapped by Duncan Graham - Racedynamix). To get to that point I have fitted the following parts:

Andy Forrest TD05-20g turbo (holds boost well at 1.42 bar - no smoke etc)
Japspeed FMIC and induction kit
Perrin silicone turbo inlet pipe
3" Miltek turbo back exhaust with high flow sports cat
3 port boost solinoid
Exedy stage 1 "pink box" clutch kit (fitted at 80k)
Forge dump valve
Whiteline anti lift kit (fast road spec)
Eibach lowering springs - fitted to new struts all round (struts and springs have done approx 25k)
Perrin 22mm adjustable rear anti roll bar
Whiteline rear camber kit
Oil temperature guage mounted into drivers side dash vent

Bad points:
The ultrasonic sensors on the alarm are over sensitive and sometimes goes off when the presure changes inside the car
The drivers seat bolster has some wear (as per picture)

I accept that the mileage is high and the engine has not been forged but there has never been a need to open her up and the car runs fine with no horible noises or excess oil burn and is priced with everything in mind.

Please let me know if you need anymore info.

Nice car that, well priced as well.

The only problem with selling it here is the dreaded ring failure possibly happening, especially after such high mileage you would always thinking "what if"???

But the price is good to enable any buyer to factor a few forged upgrades, good luck

Thanks for the comments guys. It has been priced with a potential forged build in mind. It was in my long term plans but I just dont get to use it any more as I have a baby to ferry around which cant really be done going sideways or airborne... aparentlly!! so may as well let someone else bave some fun.

Try me with an offer mate. I can only say no lol

I have spoken to the insurance and the only cars I cannot take in part exchange are BMW's, Mercs, Audi's and Porsche's.... and big power Subaru's

Ideally a decent 4 door with a big boot or maybe an estate.... petrol - not diesel.

Ok guys. I am in no rush to sell but putting a bit of an offer up. The tax is due at the end of July. If bought before then I will drop the price to £9495.

Its an ideal opportunity for someone to park it up for a while and do a big build.... If that appeals to anyone

On the look out at the moment but bit put off by the mileage and only have a 10k budget, so factoring in any future proofing might be a tad to costly for me. Nice example though bud.

I know what your saying mate but honestly it feels like half the mileage. Best I can suggest is to have a test drive and see for yourself.

I am confident it will last more than long enough to save for a build or just enjoy it as is and you wont be disapointed.

I'm actually off to see a hatch tomorrow which I saw before yours popped up with a bit less mileage for around the same money so I'll see how that goes first. Also I must mention its for my missus so she's not likely to want to save up to future proof it if you get what I mean. She'd rather have something with a bit less mileage. Unless you wanna throw in the price for future proofing

I dont think there is a need for a build any time soon to be honest. Yes - these engines are slightly more fragile than other scoob engines but as with any performance car you just have to look after them and they will look after you.

I am sure you will get a good buy with either option
