Auction cars are hit or miss. You can only start the car, ans can not drive them. This is a major problem when it comes to Type-R/RA bcuz you have no idea what sort of shape the transmission is in. The Type-R/RA are cars that have been driven hard, and I don't know about you, but I don't want to buy a rare car, only to find out that I need to source out a rare part that costs a butt load. My buddy exports cars outta Japan every day. He's bought vehicles rated 4, for $8k+ that have turned out to be complete lemons, and vehicles rated R or RA for $1000 that had nothing more than a bad alternator. And even though my friend is in the business, I went through someone else. Lol...So just something to think about. I've actually bought an auction car and was super happy about it, but I've heard too many stories.I just imported a Ver5 STi Type-R from a guy who only deals with privately owned vehicles. My Type-R has only had One previous owner and only 43k miles on it with almost no modifications whatsoever! I paid a little more than what I would have going through auction, but I know it ran great prior to purchase. I'm pretty happy with it!

Also, there are always Ver6 STi Type-RA WRC limited in auction, but it is very very rare to find a Type-R WRC limited. There wer only 1000, so a little more scarce, I actually saw an S201 in auction last month, and I'm kicking myself in the *** for not swooping it.
