Default 2003 STI Type UK 343bhp / 323Ibft

CAR IS NOW SOLD
My car has been on Pistonheads for a couple of days now, this is a copy and paste of my advert there ( http://www.pistonheads.com/classifie...k-2003/1047854 ):
"Due to a change in circumstances I have decided to sell my 2003 Subaru Impreza STI Type UK (Blobeye). I have owned the car since July 2012 and have only covered approx 2500 miles in that time, current mileage is just under 55,300. This car is my daily driver so the mileage will rise before sale although only by 80 – 100 miles a week. The car is WR Blue with the stock gold wheels. The only external change to the car is the Hayward and Scott 3.5” exit back-box

When I purchased the car in July 2012 I had the car inspected and serviced. I also had a set of Whiteline adjustable lateral suspension links fitted along with a suspension geometry set-up. This improved the handling and noticeably reduced under-steer, the rear shocks have recently started knocking as you would expect on an STI of this age.

In September 2012 a new maf sensor was fitted and the Baileys dump valve/k&n Typhoon induction kit fitted by the previous owner were removed in favour of the stock Subaru recirc valve/air-box + filter. Bob Rawle then remapped it and transformed the car resulting in 343bhp / 323Ibft and less lag making the car more pleasant as a daily driver due to the increased low/mid-range torque. The car is fitted with a Turbo back decat exhaust, the back box is made by Hayward and Scott but I am unsure as to who made the downpipe/centre pipes. The MOT is valid until 15th October 2013, the previous MOT listed no advisories. I fitted a brand new Bosch battery on Monday 14th January.

The car's service history has one stamp missing and the service book is stamped as follows:

- 19/07/2003 - 1000 miles service @ 943 miles

- 26/06/2004 - 10k service @ 6953 miles

-11/07/2005 - 20k service @ 11723 miles

- 7/11/2006 - 30k service @ 14816 miles

(40k service not stamped this includes brake fluid, oil + filter only)

- 14/04/2009 - 50k service @ 25484 miles (Cambelt changed)

-18/03/2010 - 60k service @ 35184 miles

- 8/04/2011 - 40k type service (+ spark plugs) @ 45313 miles

- 13/07/2012 - 10k type service + full inspection @ 52884 miles (completed when I bought the car)

I was initially concerned at the gap in the service history but after having the car inspected and taking it for a test drive I was re-assured as the car drove well. I have had zero reliability problems with it since I bought it, it has obviously been looked after by previous owners.

The bodywork is in good but not mint condition. This isn't a 'garage queen' car, it has been used by me as a daily driver in all weather conditions. I wash and polish it regularly by hand making sure to clean the underside of the car after driving on gritted roads in the winter. To bring the car to 'near-mint' condition will require the passenger-side fog-light cover to be resprayed along with a small section of the bumper directly above the scratch on the fog-light cover. The wheels could do with a refurb as there are some patches of corrosion on all 4 and 2 wheels have some light kerbing damage. There are a few stone-chips on the bonnet and wings, these are minimal though and hardly noticeable. There is also a small scratch on one of the wing mirrors. A full machine polish would have the bodywork looking superb.

The interior is in superb condition with only a few barely-noticeable light scratches on the dashboard. I have fitted a JVC double din head-unit which increased audio quality vastly over the stock head-unit even with the stock speakers. There is a Blitz boost-gauge fitted in the a-pillar. I have been as honest as possible about this car, all faults have been listed however minor and a number of photos are available to view on my public Photobucket album (link at bottom of advert).

A few pics from the ad (check the photobucket link for a number of pics)
