Default 1998 sti type r 2 door coupe 385/380.

possible px or swap
98 sti type r in 230 white.
1 previous owner
All history documentation and import papers/old mots and handbooks.
2 keys.
cat1 immobilser.

This car as most of you know has undergone a transformation from what it first was to what it is now.
i would like to mention that i will not be advertising this car anywhere else as i genuinely want it to go to an enthusiast that will maintain and cherish like i have in the time that i have owned it.

The exterior of the car is in very good condition,a few minor marks as expected for its age, there is one very small rust bubble starting on the roof.
No rust anywhere else,no rust underneath and overalll looks stunning.
The arches have been professionally rolled and sealed to allow for 18" wheels if desired.

The engine is a 2004 jdm sti newage short motor,(originally supplied by andy & scoobyspares)the buider and installer of the engine was richard @ fb tuning who is an excellent subaru technician/tuner.
The engine only had 29k on it,but was completely stripped, cleaned and fully rebuilt using all genuine subaru gaskets, seals etc along with cosworth head gaskets.
We used the original v4 type r heads and cams, but again were fully stripped cleaned, and rebuilt to a very high standard.
There was no expense spared as the target was to have an as new strong 2 litre engine good enough for 450/450.do it once,do it right.
It has been perfect since and i have covered around 12k in it.

Mapped recently by martyn at enginetuner who also commented on how quiet the engine was.
The only people that have worked on the car in my ownership has been fb tuning, alan and martyn from enginetuner.

Spec....

385/380 mapped on v power
2004 jdm sti newage engine
v4 type r heads
v4 type r cams
cosworth 1.1mm head gaskets.
md555 ceramic coated turbo
lateral performance 900cc injectors
hybrid fmic
mocal oil breather system
rcm heatwrapped tubular headers
3" heatwrapped milltek exhaust system
exedy pink clutch kit
walbro pump
ngkpfr7b
samco inlet
rcm induction kit
apexi power fc ecu with commander
v6 ty754vb1ca short ratio dccd 5 speed gearbox(strongest 5 speed)
kyb adjustable shocks with tein springs
Atech 17" final speed lightweight jdm racing alloys

The car needs nothing doing to it,it is has been treated like a baby and has always had what it needed.new cambelt fitted, all fluids includeing gearbox and diff oil recently changed, engine oil and filter changed every 5-6k and have only ever used millers or fuchs oil which are very good fully synthetic oils.I have needed this car to be 100% reliable as it is our only car which is used daily by me and my mrs.

its mot'd and taxed till around july 2013.

This is a genuine car, very rare, reliable, and it goes as good as you would expect it to.There are no faults with the car and is excellent.

The motor is good for 450/450,but would require bigger brakes and a 6 speed gearbox so there is scope for more power if required, but personally i think its quick enough for the road.
im not in any rush to sell and i do not mind if i keep the car,so no silly offers please.

Serious enquiries only.
any questions pm me.

Lovely car, I still miss my v5 Type R.Was the gearbox rebuilt? If you still have it after I've downsized my house (unlikely) I'd be v interested. GLWTS.

thanks
the gearbox is a mint, very low mileage v6 754 type r box with dccd and is in excellent order.you never know,it may still be available,as im not in a desperate situation to sell and dont really want to sell! but if a genuine buyer comes along with the right money then i will regretably let it go

a lightweight classic with the low ratios with this power is mayhem,it certainly has the scare factor.
to add a 20% meth mix would just be madness.
