Re your battery going flat... I had the same problem, turns out it has 'smart-charge' system, which only charges the battery if it detects a load on it.

(its supposedly so you have maximum bhp, sounds a bit daft to me though... maximum bhp=flat battery!)

Anyway, simple solution is keep the side lights or air vents on at all times to keep the battery charged

Good luck with the sale, sounds a good, honest description and a realistic price.

I mean the air vents/de-mister in the cabin (what other air vents are there?)

Just keeping on them on the lowest setting is enough to put a load on the battery

I will swap the wheels front to rear tomorrow as I havn't tried that, then get it up on a ramp again. If I can't find anything then I will look to get it checked by a specialist, its just a case of finding one localish. I don't think that there is even a main dealer in Sussex. I will have a look.

I have two Pirelli's that I may put on. They both have 5mm of tread but one is a P Zero and the other is a P6000. It would be good if it was just tyre noise.

Currently got this tyre problem myself, it sounds bloody awful. I would try and borrow a set of wheels to pin point the problem though, rather than **** about putting different rubber all round

I put the two Pirelli's on and the noise has gone! I just wish I had done it sooner so there was no doubt. So for all of you that were interested but put off, the diff and wheel bearings are fine.

The battery will be replaced also as a cell has gone and it doesn't hold a charge.

Thanks. It is a very good price. Especially as I have now sorted the main bad point. The new battery may sort out the other problem too, only time will tell. So far so good!

Been out today in it, so nice without the noise. Never used to bother me untill I put it up for sale, then it worried me. Thank goodness it was just tyre noise!
Battery nice and strong still. Will have to give it more time to see if it still drains. All good so far.
