Default 1992 Subaru SVX. Price drop.

For sale 1992 Subaru svx, EG33 3.3L engine, 142,775 KM or just over 89,000 miles, imported 2003,
Two tone silver with a black roof.
Lost interest so its up for sale.
No tax or mot.

£550, no offers.

Its had both knock link sensors changed, oil/filter, heater control unit repaired, airflow meter repaired. Original panasonic head unit changed but still have the old one with a multi cd in the boot.

It needs osr wheel bearing as the previous owner said he'd had it checked and it wasnt the bearing .So i got a replacement rear diff but when i came to change that i checked and the bearing has gone. The power steering is heavy, its variable speed related assistance, changed the ps pump and resevoir o ring but still the same. Tracking is out, inside fronts worn but tyres were down in pressure when i picked the car up so may be down to underinflation too.
Front discs are warped and need replacing. one of the hydraulic valve adjusters is noisy , makes a ticking noise every now and then until it refills with oil and then it clears.

Got the car after an accident in my impreza but havent got that bug out of my system yet. Thought a big auto would be relaxing.

4eat with variable torque center diff, 64 rear/36 front. you'd just blow the gearbox up trying to drift this, need a modded 5 or 6 speed manual conversion to do that..

Its a legacy 2.2 4 pot with 2 extra cylinders. to put a manual in you'd need to extend the propshaft by 2 inches, the gear linkages by 3, legacy pedal box and brake servo plus a lot of other stuff.

Why are cars sooooo cheap in UK? Is it just becouse the steering wheel are on the wrong side? I cant think of anything else.

Nice car btw and a free bump!

Alright bud, nice car .... always liked them!

Few questions-

-have you had a quote on getting the wheel bearing changed and sorting the front discs?

-All the electrics work? .... i.e. cruise, windows etc.

-4WS working with no line leaks etc?

-where abouts are you?

..... think thats about it.

The bearing is £80 delivered with seals and repacked with proper grease. I'd just take the hub off and take it somewhere for them to split , press old one out, press new one in. Can't see it being more then an hours labour to do if you have the kit.
I only found this when i came to fit the rear diff as the previous owner assured me it wasnt the bearing.

Everything works bar the aircon, the compressor does'nt kick in at all, maybe a relay but don't know. The steering is a mystery, no new faults showing on the diagnostics, it works to a point where its heavy when parking.

The 4ws is a passive system and only works on the move, its not like a prelude, no faults showing with it.

Discs and pads £110

Im in north devon, ilfracombe.

Hope thats answered it for you.
