Default Subaru Impreza STI Type R V4 Enginetuner Modified 460/500

The time has come to sell on my pride & joy for no other reason than little use for it now.

Building one to this spec you'll not see change out of 12k, that's before you have bought the car to modify. Sadly that's why most end up broken up for spares & not sold on.

Car is a WRX STi Type R MY97 Version 4.
Engine:
Enginetuner built EJ257 fresh May 2011. Less than 1500 miles covered.
Pistons: Weisco
Rods: K1
ACL race main bearings
RCM modified pump
Cosworth head gaskets
Enginetuner matched heads
Coswoth sump baffle plate

Fueling:
740cc injectors
Fuel pressure reg running 3bar
Lateral MD321T just serviced by turbo dynamics with billet wheel fitted (lees than 1500 miles)
Twisted up & downpipe
Deatschwerks high flow in tank fuel pump
RCM air filter
HDi front mount intercooler
GT spec headers

Engine management:
Simtec ECU with launch control & anti lag

Drive train:
2004 UK non DCCD 6 speed STi box with matching diff (obviously). The old typeR box is far to fragile & low ratio for the torque this engine pumps out.
Cusco Twin plate clutch on lightened flywheel
3 sets of alloys: 17" Lenso with Pradas, 17" Rotas with R888s & Rota copies from ebay with mud & snow tyres.

Brakes new discs & pads but standard with goodridge braided hosing. Less than 1500 miles on them.

Suspension Apex coilovers. Less than 1500 miles on them. Whiteline links.

Interior fitted with bolt in dash dodger rollcage.

There's probably alot I've missed out but this give you the general idea. Less than 1500 miles on engine, turbo & suspension.

Following is the engine's one & only drag meet. In action November 2011 chewing up a mostly carbon fibre 850hp skyline:

Pics
Checkout my garage on here:
https://www.scoobynet.com/album.php?...0&ref=gnr-prev

I will take some pics of the engine bay at the weekend.

The car is not in yer face stickered up, I tried to keep it looking as much of a sleeper as possible. I've not even tried to save weight, its still fully loaded with aircon & sound deadening as I didn't want to lose road manners.

MOT Nov 2012
TAX MAY 2012
Thousands spent!!

£8250 NO OFFERS. Although could be tempted with a Hawkeye STI

Private plate to be removed.

Hi,
I'm looking for a Type R with this kind of spec.

Have a Black 2005 WRX with coilovers, clutch and cambelt changed, STI spoiler if you're interested. Otherwise I need to sell first.

Cheers

Looks like a great spec.

GLWS

Just out of curiosity, what sort of mileage do you get with this?

15-20mpg for town work
25-28mpg for A roads/ Motorway
The longer legged UK box helps a little.

I've only taken it to one outing at Smeatharpe and the surface is poor there. Anyway it did an 11.7 @ 126 mph. Could/should be possible to knock half a second off that on a decent strip.

Thanks for the offer. The old addage If you don't ask......

What's the mileage, condition & what do you value it at? I might actually consider PX if I could chuck it on ebay for a quick sale. A glance on completed STI Blob ebay listings they are selling between 4000-5800 (depending on mileage & condition) & a lot aren't selling at all. The max I've seen is £8000 for a low mileage 42,000 2005.

Sale on hold as first refusal is going to a chap travelling a very very long way to view. I don't want him going to the expense of flight tickets etc only for it to be sold under his feet. I will keep this post updated.

Thanks mate.
I am giving a chap travelling from europe first refusal, he is coming to view next weekend. I'll keep this thread updated if he is unable to make it.
Would be no hardship if I still have it for the next Smeatharpe event

It would be nice to see it run again, only a month away if it all goes ahead........
Was going to put my name down to have a few runs but the 150 car min booking put me off a bit.

I'd be suprised if Smeatharpe goes ahead. 150 cars will be a record & it isn't being advertised well. Waiting times will/would be a nightmare.

& no probs Andy

Very best of luck with the sale mate, looking forward to seeing your new toy!

Who ever buys this car is going to get a car that has been looked after properly & really has had no expense spared.

WITHDRAWN FROM SALE.

x2 seemingly complicated transactions from potential buyers. 1x very nice insurance man who will insure x2 group 20 cars at a very reasonable price. 1x double garage.

So I am delighted to say I am keeping this monster now

Cheers Moley!!

A change of mind. Now sold to a very lucky man.

The side lights came from USA.

Moley, I'll give the office a call on Monday, thanks mate.

I'll be a Smeatharpe as a spectator
