FORESTER S/tb SF5 RARE Manual with mods
Subaru Forester S/tb Manual
Rare manual SF5 S/tb import
Rare manual SF5 S/tb import
I brought this car about 3 months ago for £2700 from a SN member because I like fast unusual cars and I was starting a vending machine business and needed a big boot for the crisps and chocolate. Things are going better than expected and now I need a van so may put up for a PX or swap (so long as we keep in within ebay rules) with a swb panel van.
The car is a 1997 P reg Subaru forester S/tb manual Jap import brought into the UK in 2008. It had a new MOT with it when I brought it and so has about 9 months left and is taxed till the end of January 2012.
As standard comes with:
4 electric windows, electric folding mirrors, body kit, climate control, gray leather interior, ABS AWD
It has had a lot of money spent on it since its been in the UK with the following mods:
HDI front mount intercooler
HKS Induction kit
HKS BOV
HKS fuel cut defender
HKS oil cap
HKS water cap
HKS EVC6 digital boost controller running 0.75 low and 11.5 high
Eibach lowering springs
NGK 7 plugs
Up rated plug leads
17 Subaru alloys (not sure what Subaru there from)
Front brakes = Redstuff pads new ebc discs
Rear brakes = ebc drilled and dimpled rear discs and new ebc pads
Cat 1 cobra alarm and immobiliser
Tinted rear windows
Stainless steel centre section Inc decat and Hayward and scot forester back box with up rated bushes.
Sub frame locking bolts
New radiator
When I got the car it had an oil leak from the crank shaft oil seal so I replaced that and (although it didn’t need one for 20,000 miles) I change the cam belt as I was there anyway and changed the oil, oil filter and plugs.
The car is very low so I got some used 2002 (Newage bugeye) Impreza STi springs and dampers which will raise it from where it is now but drop it about 1" from standard forester height and stiffen the ride up but have not got round to fitting them yet.
I also got a stainless steel de-cat down pipe for it but again have not fitted it yet.
This car is basically a Subaru Impreza wrx with a different body and because of this it shares most parts with the classic Impreza or the Newage Impreza but all parts can Easley be got hold of new or second hand.
Lots of paperwork with it but not what I would call a service history though.
The clock has 150k miles on it but nearly all that is in kilometres as was only recently converted. The Engine all sounds great with no nocks, taps or bangs and pulls very very well.
There is no rust on the car but there are a few small car park dents and marks around the car as you would expect from a 14 year old car.
If I have forgotten anything please just ask, this car is great and if I could afford to have two cars on the road and a van I would keep it but I can’t.
Looking for a PX / swap with a van.
Offers around £2250
For pics best just to look at the ebay listing as cant get them up on here at the mo as SN keeps crashing on me when I try. ebay number is: 260860908637
