Default my 95 wrx sti

for sale a my95 wrx just had full rebuild with acl bearings, steel gaskets etc all receipts (still needs running in). got a folder full of its history in dark blue with full leather 149000 km on clock very very good condition totally standard except for backbox, kyb suspension and braided brake hoses. very clean engine bay forge pistons.
looking for 1700 no mot or 2400 with mot. pics to follow.
only selling as the misses is struggling to get insured on it so bought a uk 2000 for her instead.

Sti? Looks like a wrx from those pics?

You got any interior or engine bay shots?

nothing wrong with it. just the hassle of insuring it etc. i think the price is fair for the condition and the fact its had a rebuild etc. not happy with price dont buy it simple

You don't need to insure it to get an MOT (i.e. you can trailor it there) so might be worth getting one just so people aren't wary of it (as £700 extra looks like you're expecting something to be wrong).

The code also comes up as "WRX V2 GC8C48D 260 4 door", so if it's priced to sell as an STI then you may have problems as it is not an STI.

what makes you think it has forged pistons?
v1/2 forged pistons are identified by been smooth on the underside. cast ones have cross hatchings.

the insurance database means ****, my insurance/log book think mine is a "impreza r" mine is a wrx. (its insured as a wrx)
it all depends on how it was setup by the person who registered it with the dvla.
most imports are registered as gl, but that doesnt make them a gl.
i think its a bit unfair that you advertise it as "mint". the interior is not standard nor mint. it looks like the interior out of a uk car. your first pic shows the correct interior
