Default 1998 V3 St (White)i - needs a few tweeks to be golden

Bought the car many years ago - came with a horrible bodykit and a rough engine. Over the years I've used it on and off as a daily and tried to refresh/refurb it as best I can.

see this thread for progress and pictures:
https://www.scoobynet.com/projects-4...he-garage.html

Car has 140k on the clock however it had an engine refurb at 105k, and the odometer is in KM. MoT history is pretty dogged until I started to clean it up over the last few years. Service history v similar. I have all receipts for work from the last few years which adds up to enough >.<

Good points about the car:
  • V3 STI in white - getting rarer and rarer.
  • Refurbed all under chassis metal, see build thread
  • Refurbed shocks, new wheel bearings,
  • FMIC, 3 port bcs, fuelab fpr, (bigger 740cc injectors in a box will come with the car too if wanted)
  • ESL mapped by Andrew Carr
  • 3" full decat
  • Full respray recently
Bad points about the car:
  • no back seats or door cards or roof card. gets very loud inside. I think I have the interior in the garage somewhere - can check if needed.
  • harsh suspension (Ohlins fast road/track)
  • intermittent Error 22 (electrical bug I can not seem to get to the bottom of)
  • I think the water pump impeller has rusted itself into the coolant. needs checking out
  • rust patches in the boot and around boot lock mechanism
  • Tyres are poor, one is flat

Ideally someone with a good knowledge of classic subarus and someone wanting to make a good fast track car. This is a great base (and more) to start on. All it really needs mechanically is the elec / water pump fixing and then a bigger turbo - all the supporting mods are there.

Selling due to probability of moving overseas for work and/or lack of indoor storage - don't want it to rot outside..

£5000

Offers welcome. Based in Lytham, North West

It’s still on my drive under a cover - no change as of yet.. had a few interested but too far away to come have a look - which I definitely recommend .

Its still up for sale (ish) but if it doesn’t sell, I’ll probably continue to restore it once this virus is over. It just needs what’s mentioned above.

cheers

Ash

Due to recent activity a slight bump on this thread - nothing has changed but I'm more open to selling I think. had a few people show interest during lockdown.
