2.1 Stroker 6 Speed V3 Type R
First time I've logged on here in a few years, it's hardly changed!
Subaru Impreza V3 Type R 2.1 Stroker 6 Speed
Firstly, the car belongs to a friend of mine who has just moved to France and left me with the task of selling his car and all 3 owners since import have been scoobynet members.
So here we have a Version 3 STI Type R, the first of the Type R's. Its been quite heavily modified with most attention aimed at the mechanical side of things to help with the occasional trackday.
The engine was rebuilt about 3000 miles ago and has only been used for work, carrying tiling equipment from job to job. The engine was rebuilt by Mike Latimer who builds the engine for the Time Attack Legacy and was mapped by Martyn at Engine Tuner. It's currently running two maps via an Alcatec ECU. The first map is straight pump fuel and makes 457bhp and the second map is with 20% Meth and makes 502bhp.
The overall condition of the car is quite nice, it's not a minter but its no dog.The only real visible rust is some small paint bubbling at the top of the drivers side window, the rest of the car appears rust free including the rear arches.
Please feel free to fire any questions at me.

Now the the not so good bits
Worm 4th gear syncro. This is only apparent when in the high revs but still changes gear fine.
There is a hole in the drivers side seat bolster
Chip in the windscreen
Very slight Bubbling top of windscreen
The DCCD light flashes because it has a non DCCD 6 Speed box.
The Standard Subaru headunit doesn't work.
It's not a minter but has potential.
The price has been reduced to £11k but open to sensible offers. He may take a cheaper part ex if it helps a deal with a view to reselling the part ex.
Any test drive will be taken by me unless the correct insurance can be produced of the funds in my hand.
