Default 1995 wrx sti ra

I purchased this in December from a forum member and planned to get the bodywork sorted and make this my daily as my wife has a car so mine could be a toy. The car was not described accurately but I agreed a price and drove it home, well to my friends who had a drive big enough to park it till it went to the body shop. In the coming months I got a replacement dash as part of the deal as the one in the car had a horrid gauge screwed to it so ripped out the old one and discovered some very dodgy wiring😒 So set about fixing this and tidying up now ready to fit the dash only to discover it was grey!!!! I tried my best to source a mint black one but they are rare ( didnt think it would be a problem) so I had to get the grey one flocked black.Once all was back in I installed a new double din radio and replaced the front speakers and rewired the rears. The car went to the body shop for full spray and to fix the tiny rust bubble on the rear arch , I planned to replace the sills as they are heavily dented but my budget couldn't stretch so proceeded with the work. It returned last Thursday and all looked good bar from few little niggles and dry spots that need wet sanding, as communication broke down with the painter we parted ways and tonight I discoverd the rust is back on the rear arch!!! I have no v5 for the car as the previous owner couldn't be bothered to sent it of despite me asking several times but you can you use the green slip or if the car is with me long enough I'll get it . The car has no history and not mot certificate but you can check this online and I urge you to do this for peace of mind.

I removed to rota wheels and replaced them with some period correct st2's along with a tsl back box and sourced a boot interior apart from the space saver. The car reads 66ish miles which is a mixture of miles and km. I does have a chav induction kit that I would of replaced with original air box but as I've discoverd the rust I can't afford any more on this car 😔 It's a good base car if your looking for a project and we all know these are getting hard to find, I'm looking to get what I payed for the car which is £4250 and can't really take lower

£4250

I'm happy for viewings after 5pm mon-fri and can arrange virtually anytime on the weekends

Ahh fair enough I only use mine for the odd weekend blast but still have a limit of 10000 miles per annum so sure you could get a cheap price considering you have no points etc.

What year was the RA Imported in to the UK.

Has the under side of the floor pan been under sealed.

Do you have any photo's of the under side of the RA.

When the RA had its repaint was all the glass and trim removed or where all the parts masked up.

2004 I believe and no it's not been under sealed, I can take some pictures tomorrow and it's wasn't a full strip and paint as it was in good nick to start with so it was blown over with Windows in place but all lights and trim were removed, it's not a great job to be honest but as this was going to my daily its adequate, if it was a project I would get the sills replaced as the jacking points have been damaged but no serious rot as of yet

If you really want to keep the car try classic car insurance, I'm with footman James and couldn't believe mine worked out at £350, 6 points declared, no need for ncb with classic car insurance either
