Car now sold

After 7 years of the pleasure of owning this great car, its time for it to go to a new home. So up for sale is my Hawkeye Spec C in Pure White.

Bought from Jperformance back in 2008 with 14K miles and now at approx 43K miles. Its had very little use, especially over the last 3 years which is why I have decided to move on.

Its had a number of modification from myself during my ownership and has literally wanted for nothing during that time. A whole folder worth of receipts with literally thousands spent, including a £3k full re-spray of the car 2 years ago. (not due to any damage, but for my own preference)

Always been serviced using original or upgraded parts regardless of cost and always using the best Motul 300V oils etc. Car has always been looked after by Rich of FB tuning.

I have used it on 3 or 4 trackdays, but its never been out for more the 3-4 laps at a time and always properly warmed up and cooled down every time religiously.
Oil always been changed straight after all trackdays.

I won't list all the differences the Spec C has over the standard car, but by now i'm pretty sure we all know them.

So as well as all the Spec C goodness I have made the below mods :-

Why would you re paint a car if it had not been damaged? Surely you'd want an original one un molested IMO.

As I said it was personal preference to get it done, I like my cars to be in A1 condition and the thin paint on the Spec C had a few chips on the front and a few car park wounds.

There was also 2 side skirts removed which were fitted on by the Japanese owner that were riveted on and showed signs of a little surface rust underneath them. So to ensure the car was original I had them both replaced with 2 new spec C side sills imported from japan by Subaru. (as you can see from the pics below)

All the work was carried out by Vic Sell in Harlow, who are very well known on the GTR forums. https://www.facebook.com/vicsell

Thing to remember with Spec C's is the paint is a lot thinner than standard JDM STi's and is more prone to picking up stone chips.

Good on the owner for sorting it out.

Lovely car

Sorry Stuart - if I was in the market for another car at the moment we could have had a deal as I do like the RS4's. But i'm gonna go without a weekend car for now and have another 2 in the household that i'll use instead.

Very true Bodski - and unless you have ever owned a Spec C then you wouldn't know this.

Just want to be open about everything, the car has no funny history that I know of that I need to hide from anyone.

Forgot to mention that the majority of the mods were fitted by Litchfields themselves and was initially maintained by them. But as they are quite a drive away from me chose to use FB Tuning instead (and what Rich doesn't know about Subaru's isn't worth knowing)who are a lot closer to me. So subsequent mods and maintenance has all been by FB Tuning.

It's Cambelt etc changed about 3k ago for piece of minds sake.

Made 387bhp and 400lb/ft at low boost, which if I remember is actuator pressure of about 1.1ish bar

High boost is 1.65 bar

Try and find a Subaru or a car of this age which hasn't had a bit of paint?

Fair play he wanted it to be right and done properly, I can't see the problem.

It's a bit more than a bit of paint! It's had sills welded on it.
That aside it's a very nice spec car, and I wish the owner the best if luck with the sale. 👍

Yeah I mean in a way general way of cars, yeah it's had the sills done but wouldn't you having them metal bits riveted on?

You prove that post count means nothing, you're obviously clueless.

You say it looks like a Cat D because the owner is so **** and such a perfectionist he spent thousands putting it right and you call it a Cat d?

AS above can clearly see ££££'s spent so if I was a buyer I would not say it decreases the value - if anything increases it as its been done RIGHT...! And the fact the seller has all pics and details of repair is a positive IMO.

Goodluck with the sale and for the spec of the car is a bargain at that price..!
