Oh sorry yes the S204 is the best road going newage Subaru ever built! Not my words. Anyway there's only 2 people who can comment on the S204 one is Juggers because had them all and STi Glen who's owned a spec c and an S204 and I remember Glens quote it went something like the spec c is a great car but the S204 was in different league. Now the OP's car is beautifull and anyone would be proud to own it including me and it's a give away at that price and bye the way good luck with the sale.I have a bugeye Spec c and love it but out the box it's a track car ultimately so the reason I rate the S204 so highly is that for British roads nothing comes close! Ask Juggers :

Having been lucky enough to drive these cars myself I can comment .
Before we get the usual negative sc net hunt going the Ra I drove was identical to this one Reg no .VX55 PFJ it was bought by my friend from Ian @ Litchfields sadly it was involved in a accident and he got paid out and is now in a R35 .

I drove an S204 just 2 weeks ago that was @Chevron

The Ra is an awesome car but is more of a hardcore drive if that makes sense, you could literally get it back from being 90 deg the wrong way if your a driver but at high speed it was very skitish and tail happy and you needed to be alert to catch it . The car was setup on original sti adjustable dampers with a few mods running 360 hp .

The S204 blew my mind the suspension spring rate /damping is perfect for our roads, the response of the vF42 turbo is so sharp, the engine revs like no other scoob I've driven ! matched with its sleeper looks and stunning interior it's such a nice place to be and planted is an understatement its on bloody rails .

I have owned and driven most of the ltd models inc Spec C s bar a 22b &RAR and I must say the S204 is the best yet it's another league for a B road blaster nothing is touching it in its class I had 100% full confidence within minutes of jumping in . Simon @Chevron said "the suspension setup is amazing " and he is the setup master .

Back on topic...

Thanks for the kind words and all the messages about the car.

I hadn't realised quite how much interest it would generate as it seems quite a few people have been waiting for me to sell so they can get their hands on something special.

Thanks again for all the enquiries.

To answer a few questions that keep popping up:

It has a sports cat fitted.
The car is manufactured in 2005, as it was put through the SVA in 2010, I think that's why it sometimes shows as 2010 on some databases.
The tax is circa £230 per year.
It was serviced last year, less than 3000 miles ago.
It's getting new MOT on Saturday.
It has been under sealed.
No it's not the same as a Spec C.
Yes it is an import, so insurance may not be simple or cheap.

Thanks again for all the interest and kind words about the car, carry on and I'll change my mind about selling!

I'd have to disagree. Unless either: diff was fully open in wet or on RE070's in under 5 deg c temp.

The Dccd was usually set one click fwd from open or fully open never in Auto mode.
The car was always on 070 in spring /summer never driven in winter for obvious reasons .

I guess what I mean is with the Ra it's a flick and point where you want car just aim the scoop and the rest will follow,as long as your brave its more rally car like in that respect which is my personal style and the Ra thrives on this driving .
The S204 is a sophisticated super car in its own right no subaru I have driven to date feels like it on the road.
The S cars are special for a reason likewise my previous S202 felt nothing like a Ra spec C of the same era.

The Ra is a stunning car and a bloody good price end of an era material,no argument here if your a driver this is the car to be in for endless fun.
I would go as far to say it's Gc8 Ra / type R fun in a modern body and one day will be the car to have for that collection . Best of luck with your sale now let's all continue this thread on topic and get this beauty sold

Amazed by the amount of interest this is getting from mainland Europe, will probably end up with one less RA in the UK
