Default Subaru impreza sti, 2003, 52K

For sale is my 2003 Subaru impreza sti UK 52K miles
(Silver 01g paint code)

I have owned the car since September last year and in this time have sympathetically improved this car using mostly brand new parts and the best of servicing products, it has been a joy to own and has been mechanically solid but unfortunately it is time to find a new home.

I have covered around 3K miles since ownership, I am the fourth registered keeper and the car has covered a total of 52k miles,
The service manual is fully stamped and has been serviced as recommended,
The owner previous to me was an audi mechanic hence some of the stamps being from an audi garage, the following services have been carried out,

1st service at subaru at 0 miles
894 miles subaru Wakefield
7,747 miles Subaru Wakefield
15,420 miles Subaru specialist
21,400 miles Subaru specialist
26,147 VW Sheffield
34,186 VW Sheffield
42,842 VW Sheffield
45,617 VW Sheffield

The last service was carried out at 49,094 miles under my ownership and was carried out by Three Arches Services, a Subaru specialist known to most welsh scooby enthusiasts,

This service came to a total of £1687. I pretty much had everything replaced and serviced to ensure the car has a full bill of health, included in the work was a new cambelt, thermostat and all belts, all oils were replaced, new seals, spark plugs etc, invoice can be looked into in detail.

I have in the last month carried out an oil and filter change myself using
Millers 5W-40 competition fully synthetic oil and a genuine subaru oil filter, purchased from opie oils.

That covers much of the servicing,
Improvements and mods consist of the following:-

Walbro 255 fuel pump
K&N panel filter
Both ordered from scooby world, Sept 13

The exhaust wasn't to my liking so replaced It for a brand new Cobra track day friendly system, the system is a 3" turbo back system, this was purchased oct 13 from Tarmac sportz, new gaskets etc were fitted, this system has really impressed me not being to loud but with a nice noise.

Once these parts were fitted I took it to Bob rawle for a mapping session, Ecutek map, when it was there it didn't achieve the figures I was hoping for and bob suggested that the aftermarket intercooler that was fitted wasn't performing to its full ability, I sourced an original sti TMIC when I arrived back home.
Other mods I had done before taking it back to bob were-:
3 port boost solenoid soured from a classic sti, recommended by bob
I also had fitted a Forge recirculating valve which was purchased from a scoobynet member, also recommended by bob, This isn't the atmospheric type.

I took it back to Bob Rawle in April and made an impressive
343Bhp, 334lb ft.

I was now happy with this figures and feel it performed really well, I felt what was lacking was handling and stopping power,

So with that in mind I upgraded the following:-

Whiteline 22mm heavy adj front sway bar
Whiteline 24mm heavy adj rear sway bar
Whiteline front sway bar link assembly
Whiteline rear heavy duty link assembly

These were bought brand new and fitted March this year by Three Arches Services

I also fitted brand new MeisterR Zeta-R coilovers with extension cables and treated with their anti rust treatment to prevent corrosion,
These were bought from MeisterR March this year

I then had a Hunter four wheel alignment and ride height set up done by indigo - GT
This was carried out in May this year,

With all these suspension modifications the car handles superbly and has transformed the car, I'm really impressed with the coilovers and aren't too hard but can be altered accordingly by the dampening settings,

The car has some lovely 18" revolution wheels fitted, purchased from a fellow member on scoobynet, they are in mint condition bar one slight scuff on one wheel which wouldn't be much to fix,

They are wrapped in brand new Vredestein sessantas fitted May this year,

The wheels have some D1 spec light weight wheel nuts fitted, purchased from EP Racing,

April this year I replaced the disks and pads,
I purchased a set of front and rear grooved disks accompanied by some RC5+ pads
From godspeed Brakes, I also replaced the brake lines for braided hoses from godspeed, I used Dot 5.1 brake fluid,
Whilst changing the brakes I came upon a common problem with the brembo brakes which were the calliper bolts snapping or generally not coming off very well, I decided to get the threads helicoiled by godspeed and upgraded the bolts for new heavy duty ones, I also upgraded the bleed nipples for stainless steel type variant again from godspeed,
I had this work carried out so future brake replacements won't be an issue.

All these improvements have cost the best part of £4k and have covered less than 2k miles so are like brand new.

Body work is standard form, I would describe the body work in good condition, it is 11 years old so it does have the odd scratch, car park ding, age related marks in my opinion,

The car has 5 months remaining on its MOT
Tax runs out in October

The car comes with all service manuals and service book and a folder stacked with receipts and invoices, two key fobs.

Air conditioning works as it should

There's probably something I have missed out

If more pictures are required, pictures underneath or pictures with the wheels off these can be taken over the weekends on request

Price is £7400

Regards
Matt

Cheers, have mainly had time wasters so far, perhaps I'm being a bit optimistic with my price but believe with the mileage and upgrades which have seen less than 2k miles covered feel that it is about right,
Any suggestions welcome

Well it's only the registration number, I just want to make sure I have covered every important detail in order to sell the car, I have to disagree about the mods, can only be a selling incentive

Yep Cheshire performance,
I got what I would consider the lowest I would take for it so yes got want I wanted and was relieved to sell with not a load of interest in all honestly,
Will be gutted to see it advertised with a £1k+ mark up.
Does a bit if warranty mean that much to people nowadays ?

I wouldn't of thought so at that price, perhaps a bit of warranty and the lure of finance brings in the customers. shocked at that price, rather gutted now!!!

Big ouch maybe should have held out a bit longer, but at least they collected your car quickly unlike some others on here. Is this publicity though giving them a bad name in the future maybe?

A quick search on here brings up enough threads not singing their praises, in all fairness though the chap who collected was nice enough and was an easy transaction, the car was up long enough to bring in some interest and in all honesty they were the first people to show some real intention and the only person to view the car!!

Absolutely right, made the mistake of wanting a quick sale when really I could of played the waiting game, expensive ornament to have sit on the drive though and got a reasonable amount with a smooth sale so I suppose everyone is a winner
