Default STI Type R 1999 WHITE

Reluctant sale of my Impreza v5 Type R in pure white, this car is in great condition and has been detailed to a high standard with some sensible mods, there are a few minor dinks but less than expected for a car of this age ,mileage is reading 144,663 kilometres and clocks haven't been converted.

Exterior
WHITE Type R in gleaming condition freshly polished and waxed
Genuine STI 5 high level rear spoiler
Genuine STI 6 front splitter
Black mud flaps
Genuine WRX STI original decals replaced
Genuine Subaru roof flap with correct head lining and properly fitted.
Bonnet scoop could do with respray, but not too bad condition.
Genuine 22b bonnet vents.
Full crystal pack.
HID conversion high and low beam(excellent visibility)
Factory tints.

Wheels and Tyres
17 inch Revolution Milleniums just recently refurbished in Lamborghini Graphite grey.
Front tyres are Goodyear F1s with plenty of tread on.
Rear tyres are Federals again with plenty of tread .

Brakes
Front Brembo calipers off of hatch with Godspeed grooved 330mm discs
Rear standard Subaru two pots with Godspeed grooved discs.
All calipers discs and pads are in good working order with loads of life left in them.I am unsure of pad types but they stop very well.

Interior
Standard STI type R ,Defi gauges with controller,60mm gauges in top mounted dash pod, Boost, oil temperature and oil pressure one small crack in lense of boost gauge but all in good working order.
New age suede bound steering wheel, needs recovering.
Front seats are worn but no rips or tears ,door cards and dash are in excellent condition, new custom mats through out including boot.

Engine
STI 2.0 on standard internals.
New age top mount with ic water spray connected and working.
Roger Clarke 340l fuel pump.
APEXI power FC,mapped by Simon at JGM.
K&N air filter with Roger Clarke alley trumpet.
Roger Clarke exhaust headers with venturi up'pipe heat wrapped.
Haywood and Scott 3inch full de cat stainless exhaust.
VF43 turbo.
Zero sports stainless intercooler splitter.
Mapped to 330bhp.
Timing belt and water pump changed at 122,000 kilometres.
Oil changed at every 5000 kilometres.
New battery fitted.
New NGK plugs just fitted.
New MAF sensor.

Gearbox
Standard 5 speed DCCD.

Suspension
STI pink Showa shocks and springs all round.
STI Carbon fibre strut brace.

This car was previously owned by Mervil a Scoobynet member and was imported from japan to Ireland by the owner before him, since buying the car from Mervil the car has been serviced by myself and detailed by a friend and has only done dry miles and dry stored since,no knocks, bangs, whines, leaks or smoke from engine and gearbox, suspension is solid and everthing is nice and tight as it should be.The body work is in excellent condition all bar a few minor dings that could be easily dealt with ,it has had no body repairs and is straight and true and makes for a stunning looking car.
This car benefits from some sensible mods that make for a nice and quick road car without ruining the original look and feel.
All electrics including air con are in good working order.
The boot release cable needs replacing but the boot can be opened by key.
V5 present ,tacker fitted and currently live.
Theres 10 months MOT and no tax but can be arranged at buyers cost.

The asking price is £6,000 .

No offers accepted without viewing first, test drives welcome with proof of insurance.

Lovely, but no idea if it's been rebuilt at any point? Do you know the mileage when it was imported?

This ticks all the boxes for me but I'm concerned it could be my shift when the engine gives up....

We have already spoken about the car on Ebay Toby .I sent you the link to Jolly Green Monster where the car has been looked after before I bought it and you didn't get back to me.
I understand that anyone thinking of buying this kind of vehicle at this sort of money would like some reassurance that it wont be them that has to rebuild the engine at some point and I know all to well of the pitfalls you can fall into but you buy second hand cars with that in mind,i have no reason to believe this car if maintained properly will give any serious issues.
The best advice I can give you Toby is to find someone who knows these cars to come with you and view the car in person if you are genuinely interested.
As far as I am aware there hasn't been any engine rebuild and as for mileage from the date of first UK registration 06 08 2012 you could check with Mervil but I have put no more than 1000 miles on it since ive owned it.
I hope this helps Toby.

This was a lovely type R, Merv is part of the welsh section and seen it on a regular basis.

If I was in the market for one I would seriously consider this car.

Wouldn't a 1999 be 'Pure White' 51E (not Feather White)?

Also, that's a Version 5 top spoiler section (it lacks the 'gurney' kick-up of the 6's).

Lovely car. My mate had one very similar (imported by Prodrive and also owned by rally driver, Marcus Dodd!)

There appears to be a few different names, it seems, for the same colour code. Mine is also 51E, and always thought it was called 'Pure White'.

I guess getting hold of the original appropriate Jap literature is the only real way of confirming any given colour code's 'official name'......

No disrespect fellas this a for sale thread and the car is WHITE regardless of shade and codebut while we are on the subject of paint codes and names ,you cant go by a cars year because that is only when they are registered and not always the actual date of manufacture.
A cars paint code and name can only be confirmed by your chassis number.registation number and paint code through a main Subaru dealer as I found out while trying to get a colour match for my 99 turbo.apparently according to SGT there are two types of 95h and I got the wrong one and my fog covers are darker due to having smaller fleks.it makes things very confusing when trying to paint match when buying from a non Subaru supplier.

Yes your right Mervil, I took the mileage off of the mot certificate instead of looking at the actual clock, that will teach me not to be a lazy sod, cheers bud

The photos don't do this car justice ,ive taken some pictures of things like door jams ,arches in and out ,boot with liners removed ,brakes, hubs and wheels etc ,I will upload them later, this car is in superb condition with no rust other than the rad panel as usual.

Heres some more photos of some of the places you would expect to find rust etc and to prove what great condition this car is in,there are five minor dings on this vehicle that I cannot get photos of ,all are easily fixable with no paint work damage at all, there are no stone chips bar a handful of tiny touched in ones that really do not affect the overall look of this car ,a couple of scratches in the side skirt but again minor and if anything the only cosmetic defects that bother me but for a car of this age i am very impressed with the overall condition of this car and would love to keep it but finances mean i cant keep all of them.
I own another Scooby as you can clearly see from my profile which i would prefer too sell but it owes me more money than the Type R but its not well and not in a sellable condition and im not finished with it yet.
