Lol. It ended at £6200 so I guess it'll be back up again. Just post it as an ad rather than auction.

A lot of money for a car that wont pass the MOT, clearly has some electrical faults which if they were easy to fix would have surely been done. The MOT ran out in January of this year?

I am always wary of some one that uses caps in a large font and demands a deposit within a few minutes before you have had a chance to make sure the car is as described.....

Blimey, scrap value! About £80 round here lol. Slightly harsh maybe!

All the criticism is worthy, I just noticed it in the final minutes as a steal price.

If it did got for £5800, this is briefly how I put it together in my head if was a bit of a lemon and the engine and box was fine.

Engine £2000
Gearbox kit £2000
Brakes £500
Lights £500
Shell £500
Other parts £1500-£2500

so, basically you are saying that the car in parts is worth 7,5 to 8 grand. Somehow I find it hard to believe. for that money you can import a jdm sti all inclusive of VAT, import tax, certificates and MOT (yeah, yeah, the wait and hassle - this is just an example).

just take the manhours in to consideration and the hassle of selling certain parts, storage space etc. as a result - the value goes down dramatically to something like 5 grand, which is a more realistic figure.

and just to add some oil to the fire - the engine is hardly worth 2 grand, maybe together with the ancillaries, same as with the gearbox - there are some people who sell them for 2 grand, but that does not mean that the market is dictated by those couple of people.

Ah right, I must stand corrected. How many cars have you busted to come up with you explanation?

What has buying a JDM car for 8k got to do with breaking a 6k car?, and at that the JDM will NOT be a Hawkeye for 8k!

Regards
Rob (talking of experience)
